Did anyone else notice that?
Im a noob pilot and I'm currently practicing dogfight against a fighter.
The AI spider sense is really frustrating when put on Veteran or ACE http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-sad.gif, it will always start to jink just as you draw it into your gunsight, even after a low yo-yo, I should be in the dead angle.
Also, when pursuing a enemy spiralling down, I've always wondered how he could completely reverse direction so fast.
Last night, I flew the Zero and it has a horrible roll rate, it is difficult to follow an enemy which initiated a break as it takes forever to bank the wings.
However, when I put autopilot ON, I was amazed at how fast the Zero now rolls http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gif AND the enemy AI plane loses spider sense!
Is it just my noob-ness or am I missing something?

Part of the answer is that AI FMs are simplified, and AI behaviour is not supposed to exploit it, but that may not be so for the flyables.

Sometimes it seems like the enemy AI react differently to human players than they do to opposing AI. Maybe that has something to do with it too.

I guess I just don't really know for sure.

You are a noob and are missing something. Hopefully that isn't too much criticism... on the plus side it will encourage you to become a not-noob... which you can do... as long as you practice a lot.
