Let us know how you get on with them Marilyn; I'm, like, sooooo behind with my current set of 61.21 ones. I'm almost embarrassed. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

So how they work for you?

Last drivers i wasn't too happy with becuase of the Fog level just wasnt right with FC.

I liked the older ones better.
But if they at least fixxed the fog distance level i well try emm out!

Weird shadow effect.
Both same settings and near enough the same position.

61.40 betas gave me a huge temperature increase 54C ,,,had my first lock up ever using them.
They quickly departed.

Just a little note on that shadow in the Carrier level... the shadow is caused by the table! The 61.40 drivers actually render INCORRECTLY... strange huh?

Spotted another link by Warhead

Better fps etc. (http://www.tommti-systems.de/go.html?http://www.tommti-systems.com/main-Dateien/files.html)

Stick it in your Bin32 folder. Dont know what it does but what an improvement.

This helped me increase shadows and lighting.
I will post pics soon.

To me i can't say i care too much about FPS becuase i got good FPS now!

Anyways all i am looking for is improvement in Graphics. I do not want a decrease in graphics for FPS like must the 61.## drivers so far offered. If they fix must the shadows and fog levels. I would use emm but the tweaks in the drives they been releashing so far have not been the best! At least not what im looking for!

But if you need more FPS and pushing the limit for better game play then maybe this is for you. But im not welling too sacerfice my graphics for more FPS that i dont need.
Don't get me wrong nothing is wrong with these drivers just the old ones produce better graphics over round too me! At least in Far distance's for fog level and Close with Shadows. It just looks better with older Drivers i guess. And this too me is everything.

these are indeed a pretty poor set, got some stuttering and nightvision is still screwed.

Work fine on my FX5950; still playing around with them but no headline grabbing IQ/performance increases so far...

Just ran benchemall, these seem slightly faster then 61.12 but slightly slower than 60.72. But that's only 1-2 fps ish so who cares?

I also had a play with the image quality settings in the Nvidia control panel; they don't make that much difference to performance, but IQ drops so I'm sticking with 'Quality' setting.

Marylin - your 'better fps' link; is this worth using?

The 61.40 are the ones.
Do what warhead advised AAx16 AFx8. Tri optims on.
Run lighting and Shadow on High or even more if you can do it.

They are absolutely perfect. Image quality is greatly improved.
Temps are a bit high on gpu but the weather is smoldering here. Got my cpu fan on 4500 rpm.

Ru. put that thing in your Bin32 folder and see for yourself. I dont know what it does but image etc etc improved. Get the fp16 version.
I took my shader pack 1.1 out to get shader 2 going but put it back because the darn 1.1 patch disables shader 2 anyway.

Please see for yourself Farcry should be issued with fp16 in.

For me, the game will not load with the 61.40 drivers. After I load a save point my screen just shows a complete grey patchwork. The 60.72's still work the best for me.

Maybe if I had a 6800! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

i dont have a 6800 either. I got a FX 5900. The FX cards dont support 16xAF but for some reason there is a performance boast. I noticed it when i got 2k more in AM3 than 0xAF. BTW i found out that the 61.32 and the 61.40 dont support SM 3.0. The 61.34 drivers support SM 3.0...if you can find them
