I've seen it on Amazon.ca for 10 or 12$. I wonder if it's good? (1 DVD : over 3 hours of footage) Does the Ultimate WW2 aircraft documentary exists or we will have to wait a few years?

In August my wife bought me a 7-video boxed set called "Warbirds of WWII" by Timeless-Video. She got it at Walmart. I figured it could be very good. Boy was I wrong. They are by far the best videos on WWII aircraft/arirwar I've ever seen. They are full of pilot interviews, and they go into depth about differences between models of aircraft (P-47C vs P-47D) and even block numbers (P-47D-20 vs P-47D-22).

There was tons of footage I/ve never seen before, and I like to think I've seen a lot. I can't recommend them highly enough. And there are more than just what I got:

These is the set I got:

Here is a complete list of what they have:

Looks great SkyChimp! I think I found the equivalent of your box set on DVD. Under the title of Roaring Glory Warbirds. There's the vol.6 link : http://www.amazon.ca/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00000FBP0/qid=1071962468/sr=1-2/ref=sr_1_0_2/701-5698240-5311556.

Maybe we'll see something more complete in the future, a box set with a lot of content on the VVS, LW and others

Another "looks great DVD" on the Stuka, Hurricane, Spitfire and B-17

I'll keep looking around for a great documentary. If you find one, post the link!

rick_475,

I actually got that dvd about a few weeks ago, and although I havenā't seen it all yet, it is a very good dvd. Also a good price. it has some amazing footage. Iā've only watched about 30 minutes worth about the Luftwaffe, and it great.
