I'm new to the whole IL2 game and I was just wondering if there were, or anyway to get American and British campaigns and aircraft? Its a great game, but dont ya think everyone should have been included? It would have made the game a little more broad ya know? I'm enjoying playing with whats there now but more options couldnt hurt at all. Also, how is it that I can pick allied a/c but play as Germans in quick mission builder, and the other way around? I can pick either nationality and fly with any plane I choose whether the plane is specific to a certain nationality or not. Other than that I'm having a blast!!!!

You can add American and English campaigns by downloading Extreme_one & Polymando's Campaigns

You can't play as a German in Allied planes in the QMB.

As for Allied campaigns and aircraft, buy the upcomming IL2 FB Ace Expansion and the Battle over Europe expansion (the latter is a 3rd party product btw)

You can also download and install the US and BoB Campaigns from Extreme_One.
Just seek a post of this guy via the Search option and the download links are in his signature.

Oh yes indeedee...

There is the USAAF campaign called "The Real Deal" and a mondo cool RAF Battle of Britain campaign both by Extreme_One and friends.

The RAF one is here:

The Real Deal is here:

As for the Quick Mission Builder... it's really just a tool for flying and target practice. It doesn't really matter what nationality you play as... and don't forget that during the war some planes were captured by the opposing side and used so it is accurate in it's own way.

Enjoy!
