theres one scene in the revelation trailer where there seems to be someone hitting yeesha. but upon closer examination, the hand first of all matches HER hand movements, and second of all, Yeesha doesn't seem to care that someone's hitting her. She only cares about the weird necklace thing it drops.

Is the panel she's tapping some kind of strange mirror that actually projects whatever is reflected off it?

Speculation anyone?

Here is how I interpreted that part of the trailer: Someone is coming after Yeesha, or more specifically after a necklace she is wearing. She quickly runs into that space (some people say it looks like the fireplace on Myst island) and taps the door to close it. As she turns around to close the door whoever is after her (Sirrus or Achenar?) reaches for the necklace. They grab it, the string breaks, and they start to pull it away from Yeesha's neck. They almost get it but the door/pannel starts to close on their arm, they drop the necklace and pull their hand out of the space just as the pannel closes.
But now that you mention it, the hand reaching for Yeesha does seem to move almost exactally the same way (they both start to move at the same time, and the hand touches Yeesha at exactally the same time she touches the door) but that might be a coinsidence, it all moves pretty fast.

I had a great signature ready for this space but Kodama erased it

Well, the movement is definately all at the same time. Interesting point, Takua--I never had noticed it at first. I can't tell. I'd suggest it's not a mirror, just because the girl(presumably Yeesha) seems pretty spooked, and that would fit if someone had been chasing her. I'd love to know what the significance of the necklace is.

You gotta hate the way trailers do this to ya, but hey, that's their job. Get you excited and leave you hanging. And I must say, this one does just that. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Really dont think its her arm comeing to get the neckless. if you look at the shirt yeesha is wearing its very short sleved. the hand thats grabbing for her has sleaves down to the elbo. just pointing out what i see in it.

Yeah, it is very obvious upon closer examination, that she is tapping something to get the door to close, while at the same time, the other hand is grabbing at the necklace. The door closes and the hand drops the necklace. Then, she stares downwards with a strange look on her face? Think maybe she's staring at a hand trapped under the door, or just the necklace? http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_confused.gif

I think she's staring down just because she's so freaking that someone is after her... just on the other side of that door. ^_^ That little pause of silence and disbelief after having gotten away on a close call.

But, I think Thracker made a good point. I don't think the hand is going for Yeesha anymore as much as I suspect it was going after that necklace.

...Trapped hand.... would they make a Myst game that gruesome? ::shudders::

Yes, i that seems most reasonable...exept for one thing.

ALSO which thacker said........and i said.....the two hands make the exact same movements. that's whats got me confused.

I don't see them matching movements. Like Phen says, it looks like the other hand is grabbing for her or her necklace while she is reaching to close the door.

Coincidence it kinda looks like a mirror or are we trying to read too much into it?

What if the hand we have seen in the trailer wasn't either of the brothers? All of us are assuming that it's one of the brothers that is chasing the girl.

Well ... I think we are assuming the brothers cause it says in the trailer ... "a little girl is missing and the brothers are suspected." http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Perhaps the ending has not yet been written!

children sometimes have fights with parents. any accual parent out there knows what I'm talking about. children don't always agree with parents. which could cause some bad feelings and misunderstandings.

Several of us over on the Uru Obsession boards have concluded that it's Catherine who chases Yeesha into the fireplace, trying to stop her from doing some wrong-headed thing that ends up causing all the trouble we'll have to fix.
