Can someone please tell me what some of the things in the game they dont have a key binded to the default game do please?

Props - I understand their needed just dunno what for.
Mixture - Dunno what its for.
Superchargers - Only heard of the ones in cars.
Magneto - Dunno what its for.
Airbrakes - I know them and have 'em binded.
Fire Extinguisher - I got binded to put out engine fires.
Feather prop - Dunno what this does. Heard of it though.
Cowl or Armour flaps - Its defaultly binded i just dunno what it does.
Lock Tail Wheel - Does this stop you from turing on the ground? Good for landing or something.
Gunsight/Bombsight Controls - Is it worth binding?

Right those are the main things i would like to be answered please.

Simplified answer:
1. Prop.pitch---how mauch (ammount)of air bitting by propeller. Your consider should be if u set prop.pitch. on 0 you0ll decellerate more slowly than on 100%. Then when landing, set it on 100% in order to land quicly.

2. Mixture: mix between fuel and air. use only above 2000m. Lower it as higher you gaining alt. Ty flying LA on 6000m and you 'll know what I mean. You'll have to lower mixture to 70% or so.

3. Superchargers-use above 3000m to stage 2 Available only on some planes. Give extra power to ur craft. But if u are in stage 2 below 1000m u gotta good chance to fry the engine so be carefull.

4. Gives electrical power to engines. They should be swithed on both magnetos(althugh u can fly on olny one magneto). If u swith magnetos off, engine will go off.

5. Airbrakes:try Stukas and P-39(I think J version)

6. Fire extingusher: works on TB-3 and G.50(5 times). Nice little stuff. When u are on fire http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/784.gif

7. Dunno either. I prefer fighters and I thought that thing works only on bombers.

8. Cowl/armor flaps is really for radiators (if u push ur machine too hard u must open radiator to cool the machine---first enable 'complex engine mangement' on 'difficulty settings')

9. Tail thing... when u land on inclinated land enable it to stop A/C to moving after landing.

10. Gunsight/Bombsight: Gunsight can be very handy if u fly axis plane to center your gunsight(zoom in/out) also very handy.

And yes I agree those ones are the main things in controlling your A/C (if basics are excluded http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif)

Feathering the prop turns the blade angle so to reduce drag on the blade...
Used on multiple engine A/C, if an engine dies you feather the prop to reduce drag on that prop...

Thanks for the help Atomic and Helgstrand. Im gonna try my best to bind all of them keys and remember where they are because it sounds like it could improve my flying if i got to use them.

I do have another question to ask:

Radiators - I think when i pressed a button it said that one was open. I dont know what they do but im guessing it lets air into the engine to cool them down?

Correct, open keeps it cool. If you have complex engine managment on you will have closed, 2,4,6,8, open and on some planes closed/auto. If its off you will only see open, closed/auto.

To add on the tailwheel lock, you will want to lock it while rolling on take off, it sets your wheel so that you can move more straight until you can get you tail off the ground and rudder takes over. If makes it easier to land when your tail wheel is locked from the take off because you plane will not veer off the runway when your tail touches the ground. If you have an airstart it is pretty much usless locking it when landing. You will want to unlock it as soon as you are slow enough on the ground for manouvering and taxing.

You are about to embark upon a Great Crusade toward which we have strived these many months. The eyes of the world are upon you. Good Luck! And let us all beseech the blessing of Almighty God upon this great and noble undertaking" - Gen. Dwight D. Eiseinhower-Supreme Allied Commander.

If you are reassigning all the keys, this might help you. It is a blank keyboard layout I made in Word97 sometime ago when I first changed all the keys myself; it helped a lot as a quick reference while playing.
There is some Spanish on some keys because I use a Spanish keyboard, but it would only take two minutes to edit.
I just printed it out and wrote on it in 3 different colours of pen (for shift/ctrl/alt combinations).
