Yes,
the Ground attackers amongst us, most be aquinted with those iritating little Soviet AAtanks/trucks or the German HalfTrack when you attack the vehichle convoy they will move into facing you, fire at you and join the collum again, If you hit any of the vechicles they will drive around it.

Now wat is so diffrent for a realistic AI model for the movement of a other 'Ground target' namly Ships!
They look diffrent but they are the just the same 3D objects that move around a Ocean Bleu pixel surface. (Instead of Earth green/brown pixels)

Wouldn't be much more realistic when ship Convoy's under your attack would turn to face you (Espescialy on a torpedo run!)or start to avoid torpedos and bombs launched at them (In stead of driving around burning trucks)
By pervorming zig-zag moves (Standard evasive movement since the WWI!)

Submarines, If under attack should do what they do for real; Sink fast! let the Sub sink while moving forward to simulate a escapedive.
(Wheter you hit it or not will remain a quistion like it was in real live)

Lots of times War ships would move in single file so evasive moves should not inflict collisions (Wich often occured in real naval battles, BTW)
Since the Vechiles travel on a narrow road couldn't these 'roads' be widenend to simulate a sea?
Also circuling Battleships ships if underattack would be a great realistic addition to this Sim (As would the 'Lufbery circle' employed by A/C groups under attack, as The Japanese used to do!)

It would be cool to look down from 20,000 ft to see carrier fleet ships turning frantically in combat like the did IRL.
