View Full Version : Ok, here's the deal on the individual diveacceleration.

It's only individual when using 0 throttle.
With full throttle the Yak-3, La-7 and D-9 all accelerated equally fast in the dive.

Too bad, but we are getting somewhere, pre-patch, dive acceleration was the same for all planes even when idling the engine.

Hopefully this can be fixed with the next (final?) patch.

No problem. Your findings are still very interesting. For instance: one could ask oneself why things work better at 0% throttle than they do at full throttle. It almost seems as if they got the basics right from the ground up, but nullified/overruled the (realistic) differences in dive acceleraton with a big swing of the gashandle somehow. Interesting stuff.

Plus there's possibly the problem regarding the differences in idle-positions of the various proptypes. Maybe a constant speed prop in idle produces more/less drag than a fully automated-pitch prop in idle. Although this "should" not be the case, since an idle prop is an idle prop and should not create excessive drag when it is allowed to simply rotate freely.

Bumping this.

Just want to make sure that as many people as possible read this. It's important IMHO. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-happy.gif
