without seing a trak who knows. I only say that its hard for me to beleive you know what lag really looks like if you only have 4 filght online.

I would guess it was lag though what server was it on?

The "cheating has been detected" message is a poorly worded message.It really means that lag (packet loss) has been detected.This is common with dialup players(but also experienced by adsl connections).

You can edit the net messages properties file in the I18n folder to tell you who is creating the lag.

I do not recall the exact edit but there are some threads on the forum on how to exactly edit the messages.You can do a search.

If a host has a tight setup on his online lag settings those who experience lag will be kicked from the server.

In your main Fb there is a folder called i18n.

Paste this over the Cheating has been detected lines, or make them say what ever you like.

user_cheating1 {0} has a poor ping.
user_cheating2 {0} is causing lag.
user_cheating3 {0}'s needs a better connction!

This section is for the host to set to counter the speed Hack cheat!

[MaxLag]

nearMaxLagTime=1.0
cheaterWarningDelay=3.0
cheaterWarningNum=2

It does sound like totally normal lag to me.

It's annoying but it happens.

Unlike a lot of 1st person shooters, when lag warp happens in IL2/FB the game shows the warping object moving rapidly from its old position to its new position. It's a lot less common than it was in the early IL2 days, but it still happens.

Actually the speed hack cheat fix is in the conf.ini file, and must be added manually:
in the [Net] section
checkTimeSpeedDifferense=0.17 (=17% speed diff)
checkTimeSpeedInterval=20 (=20 seconds max)

do not put the ( ) stuff of course.
These are the default values, I normally keep it tighter than this for the few times I host.
A setting of .10 and 10 seems to work good without beging too aggressive.
