Hey all, I got a pretty fast computer, and i think i should get alot better FPS than what i do.. i get a steady 30-35 fps, sometimes drops even lower when i run thru dust, etc at highest settings, 1290x960, everything max.
, even if i turn of AA and AS in my ATI settings tabs, i still get bad fps.
Anyone know what I might be doing wrong?.. Im on a P4 3,2 Ghz, 1 gig DDR400mhz RAM, ATI Radeon Pro 256 meg RAM, SB Audigy 2 etc. running win xp pro.
Any input is welcome.. thx

hmmm, try lowering the screen res one notch. for one thing, your monitor doesn't support 1290 pixels horizontal.

and you should note that the more you partition your hard drive, the slower your computer will run.

Yea that was a typo ofcourse, i meant to type 1280x960.

I doubt My Partitioning is the answer.. when i partition like i do my my hd runs a bit faster actually since i have the OS and Gaming partitions at the beginning of the hd http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

oh, yeah i figured that was a typo.

partitioning isn't the answer, i was just noting that it causes system slow-downs and problems on most computers.

your frame rate of 30 fps sounds a little low for that system, but that is the fps the game is intended to run at if i'm not mistaken

yeah, who knows maybe they have it capped off at 35, not likely though...

I don't really know why it would matter, not like you can notice the difference... the human eye can't see faster than so many frames per second
