Great movie! I love the Mirage series, beautiful aircrafts! The best occupation in the world no doubt! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Oberleutnant Oskar-Walter Romm thoughts on his aircraft.

"I found the Fw 190D-9 to be greatly superior to those of my opponents. During dogfights at altitudes of between about 10,000 and 24,000ft, usual when meeting the Russians, I found that I could pull the D-9 into a tight turn and still retain my speed advantage. In the descent the Dora-9 picked up speed much more rapidly than the A type; in the dive it could leave the Russian Yak-3 and Yak-9 fighters standing."

I didn't know the Swiss Air Force flew the Mirage.
But I guess it's easy to buy a plane from your nest door neighbor. They should upgrade to Eurofighters, much newer technology at least.

Maybe they don't fly it anymore...this link to their website does not show it:

They flew it, in fact just the other day I saw a really great picture of a Swiss Mirage in one of my books. I think it was an older Mirage, since they said the Swiss had added the canard things to the front to help takeoff in the mountains.

Crashing online as :FI:SpinyNorman

Normally Spiny Norman was wont to be about
twelve feet from snout to tail, but when Dinsdale was depressed Norman could be
anything up to eight hundred yards long.

Nice video. Good to see French pilots spending there tax payers money sensiblyhttp://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif.

Some of the other ones at that site are pretty cool also. The one with the mountain flypast of the Mirages, F18's, Hawker Hunters and some other planes is pretty cool indeed.

Great Show Indeed!

The music for the beginning of the video is "Enae Volare mezzo" by ERA, written by Eric Levi. It seem it is a remix! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif

Actually the Swiss Mirage III are retired of service and are for sale!
