You'd probably benefit from more RAM too.

tully read you pm plz.

and for sotona you should be able to run it fine on lower settings with no problems, if you want to run higher graphics and screen resolution your going to need more memory and a new videocard at least 128m

I would go with another 512k ddr, make sure you match the chips or it will cause conflicts, on a 2.2 your memory chips are probally either 512k ddr @166mhz or 266mhz, but you have to contact the company to make sure, and possible a ati radeon 9700 for your system it would make a noticeable difference. try www.pricewatch.com (http://www.pricewatch.com) for the best prices of stores.

I have Celeron 2.2 GHz, 512 MB DDR and geforce4 mx420 and the game runs very well with some of the eye candy turned down a bit and it is just about hanging on in there (with fairly poor fps) when mainly excellent graphics settings are chosen in the game. I can cope with mediocre perfomance because I love the way the game looks, but if I was playing online I'd adjust the settings for higher performance. I get the impression that the graphics card is the weakest link on my pc and that is what I aim to upgrade next (someday). You may want to do a bit of tweaking here and there but some of the generous and knowledgeable people who keep an eye on the Technical Support Forum are sure to help if you ask.

You don't have to lower the settings THAT much. I run with everything maxed out (terrain in "Perfect") at a steady flight-sim-friendly 30 fps.

P4 2,4 - 512 meg DDR - Ti4200 128

That MX will hold you back, but you won't fly no wire-frame game. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

TI4200 vs MX... http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif Not fair!

To original poster, first priority is video. Could be solved for not that much money, other then that you good to go. Memory is secondary.

I would think that you should be able to run 1024x768x32 medium/high settings. even on Current card.

Kozhedub: In combat potential, the Yak-3, La-7 and La-9 fighters were indisputably superior to the Bf-109s and Fw-190s. But, as they say, no matter how good the violin may be, much depends on the violinist. I always felt respect for an enemy pilot whose plane I failed to down.

I run a AMD 1 GIGHZ with a Voodoo 5500.(old dino). Run land detail on low, all else on high and get 35 to 45 fps avrage on a good server. Runs smooth. So 2 gighz or better with G force 4 or better should run like a mother.

PS also Im dual booted with windows 98 and xp pro. Get like 10 fps more on the 98 side.
