I made a quick and dirty table of my own from the data on http://free-st.hinet.hr/dvd/Weapons.html
because I wanted to see if their was any obvous convention that countries used for Tracer fire.

However this data seems to have been taken directly out of Forgotten Battles so I was wondering if anybody has any primary sources that are published on the internet??

Theres a book called ballistics of WWII, they have info on every weapon in wwii, many color photos of air sea and ground tracer fire which IMO look nothing like the rainbow bright colors in FB. Check the book out its very good if your interested in ballistics. Also the the flak didnt have smoke lines from the gun to the black sheel explosion in the air, removing the smoke would probally improve fps alot. The tracer rounds shouldnt be seen 10,000m across the map in the day only at night. In the day they should be seen only a couple hundred meters away

Hmmm... this chart explains why I've shot down one too many friendlies.
I thought it was a lot simpler than that; green/red for VVS and blue/yellow for OKL. I didn't know what white meant. Thanks for teaching me that I shouldn't use tracers as a sole means of identifying the enemy! The skies are now a safer place for my team-mates. lol!
