The funny thing is that someone is garuanteed to fall for it.

"-When in doubt, empty your magazine.
-Never share a foxhole with anyone braver than you are.
-Never forget that your weapon was made by the lowest bidder.
-If your attack is going really well, it's an ambush.
-No plan survives the first contact intact.
-All 5 second grenade fuses burn down in 3 seconds." Excerpt from Murphy's Laws

Ahhh, my eyes. This graphical nightmare must be MS FS 2004.

At the start of WW2 the German army lacked experienced anti-aircraft gunners. The average gunner was so bad that the USSR decided to help them out. They did it by forcing some of their pilots to fly I-153 flak magnets. These planes were slow but very sturdy. This allowed German anti-aircraft gunners to get a large amount of target practice on a relatively small number of planes. Thanks to the Soviets help, by the end of the war the German anti-aircraft gunners were amoung the best in the world.</center>

Hope he cleans up the terrain before he releases it.

When I file my testing report I'll make sure to suggest
"retain same flat ground, nevermind varying landclasses"...

At least in FS you can fly after the street lights come on /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Oleg has managed to produce the finest consumer combat flight sim in history, and bring it to market for less than the usual retail cost upon release of the average flight sim ($40 vs $50-$60).

Microsoft has not, at least not within the last 10 or 15 years.

It may not be perfect, but it is without a doubt the best we've ever gotten in nearly all respects (cost, quality of FM, DM, lack of bugs on release, visuals, sound, etc).

Ugh... yuck! /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif

I have FS 2004 and it's a nice flight sim, but obviously not a terrain sim...

Even so, I'd like to see cities in sims and not scattered houses here and there, like in all sims, including FB. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

The Spit is from www.avhistory.org (http://www.avhistory.org). (1% Team) It's an MK9 I think, for CFS2 and works in FS with some panel mods...

By the way, I've gotta say it amazes me how this community sh!ts all over every other sim that comes along. Tip: You CAN have more than one and enjoy them.

What if LOMAC ground turns out to be like FS once you get your PC tweaked, you gonna cry?

Personally, I love MS's terrain. I don't normally fly at 1000ft, and when I am (ie. landing), I've got better things to do than look at the ground textures (such as read the gauges and control the plane). I've added higher detail satellite terrain mesh, and now most of the WORLD is now way more accurate in terms of elevation, rivers, ravines, etc.... Sweet, I can follow a ravine from Pearson right to where I live.

Flying a large jet on an ILS approach, or in bad weather, would probably leave many of you stupified for a few days, unlike FB where you can scratch your *** with one hand while landing with the other, even in an HE 111.

As you like it, but I give credit where its due and while FB deserves it in the area of combat, it's ground objects are nonexistent. Oh, sorry, they're adding some new telephone poles soon, right? /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif FS on the other hand tries to achieve a lot more than FB does, and succeeds, big time, proven by the much bigger community of folks that share new addons daily.

If some pixelated ground textures from 1000 feet bug you, you just might have missed the point.... Not that I expected much more from this IL2 cult.

The stock scenery in FS can be ugly but atleast you have the option of purchasing better scenery:
