Yesterday I upgraded to an EVGA GTX980 video card and a new ASUS PB287Q 28" 4K monitor. The improvement over 1920 X 1080 resolution is dramatic in both gaming and everyday use. The colors are brighter and more vibrant and the clarity of the picture is vastly improved. I can never imagine myself ever returning to anything less than 4K and I've seen notice that even 5K is in the works. If you can afford it I can guarantee that you will not be disappointed. Everything is running in my Windows 10 preview and though there have been glitches and bugs as you would expect in a beta copy Assassin's Creed Rogue has played without issues of any kind.

GTX 980 isnt enough for modern games at 4K. Expecting Unity or Syndicate to run at 4K is a sure way to be disappointed.
Also, colors have nothing to do with resolution.
