Hi all.

So, there was a time when I wanted to see how all ACU armor sets look like (for example how in Wikia it shows all Ezio's armor sets somewhere). But because there were so many of them (and a lot quite expensive, not to mention locked behind competitions) nobody really has done this.

Well, if you want something, do it yourself I guess. And since I have recently unlocked every armor equipment in the game, I decided to take screenshots of every set (all in default color scheme). Enjoy!

(this post will be divided in 2 since I can't include more than 30 images in one post)

Wow, nice job! That must have taken a while.
I think Arno's tailored outfit is still my favourite ;)

Just looking through, I was wondering, why is there no Legendary Bourgeois set? Did Ubisoft forget to include it or something? Because for me personally, the Bourgeois items are some of the coolest in the game, they really scream 18th century France. There is no logical reason as to why it wouldn't be included. Bourgeois had a set for Handmade, Tailored, Improved and Master why would a Legendary set be absent? Every other class of clothing got a Legendary set. I'd really like to see Ubisoft's reason for that, it just seems so peculiar.

I also would have liked to have seen Arno's improved outfit. It seems strange to skip from Tailored to Master.

There's a curious note: there's not a single outfit type that is available for all levels.
Handmade, Tailored, Improved, Master, Legendary, each outfit type has at least one of those levels missing.

Oh yes, you're right. I didn't notice that. Thats pretty strange, why on Earth would they choose to do that? Its not a big deal, but its pretty confusing and doesn't make a lot of sense. What benefit are they receiving from the removal of one set from each class of clothing?

I don't think it was a design decision to remove them. Most likely scoping down from the original plans (my guess is originally there'd be all types of outfits for every level plus several unique ones).

It's not easy to do that. You don't just create a model, textures for it, and you're done (which in itself isn't that easy, but, you know, pros can do it relatively fast). There's also:
1. Color customization, making sure that the textures work properly with every color.
2. Animations, making sure that all those additional models sit properly in all the thousands of animations that Arno has (there can be some crazy **** going on in there, and AC main characters starting with AC3 have like one of the biggest animation counts)
3. Physics have to work properly on everything (and in this game there's actually an outfit that failed to do so, that being Ezio's legacy outfit)
4. Sound assets (this may be just me, but depending on materials the soundscape of your movement changes as well, but it's fairly common in games with customization though I didn't pay attention to this particular part in ACU)
5. And after all that is done... time to check how all these things work when combined with OTHER outfits, and trust me (on personal experience) when it comes to combinations, tons of little implementation bugs crop up.
6. Making sure that all the gameplay effects that go with the outfit work properly.
7. Probably something else I've missed :p
So, do all that, and you have one outfit set! Yay!

Woah, that must have taken a while.

Personally I like to mix and match elements from all different outfits, but of the outfit sets I tend to like the bourgeois and military ones the best.

Nice job!

Although looking at the title, I couldn't help but be a bit bitter about how the game calls the armor, The Armor of Thomas de Carmillion, and yet it just a skin. Like all of those brain raking clues, which were fun to do too, but after doing all of that, I felt cheated at the same time. If you call it armor, then it should be armor, right? It was a huge letdown for me, especially since I like doing those cool ancient legacy armor missions that AC does.

Hopefully for Syndicate, it won't go to that route of calling skin, armor.

I like mixing and matching too, but I like whole outfits as well :) My favourite is the brigand set (I played a lot with the legendary brigand set not only for stats, but for it looks as well). They've got this balance of dressing like more common folk but at the same time looking like an assassin as well.

Well, I just called it armor in the thread. The game calls it gear (which it's, well, what it is).

Well, I just called it armor in the thread. The game calls it gear (which it's, well, what it is).Oh, no! Its totally fine! Nah, its just that I was just simply recalling how bitter I felt in the moment after completing all the Nostradamus Riddles, and going in to get the "Armor", I was bitterly disappointed, actually cheated, about the fact that it was just a skin. I went into the Equipment section, looking for the Armor set, and I got confused, thinking that it was a glitch. Curious, and to my disappointment, it was in the Outfit/Skin section.

Like imagine in AC2, getting the Armor of Altair, after the story tells ya its a set of unbreakable armor forged by the big guy himself, and it turns out to be a simple skin like the Altair's Robes outfit. I just hope Syndicate doesn't pull one like this again, that's all.
