Now, there are many historical examples of aircraft (I refer, specifically, to the P-47) getting some aftermarket modifications. That made them ridiculously fast.

And they got no paint and wax, which made them faster.

It seems like it would be a simple addition to the game, and it is really something I would love to see, as I'm a jug pilot.

Okay, but then they have to mod realistic jug random engine and airframe failure too. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Airframes don't randomly fail, buddy. All failure of any sort is result of an action, whether that action be enemy fire or weather or what you have it.

Luther, if that was the case, we'd have this problem across the spectrum.

Salute!

Whilst the source can be airframe stress,
some failures happen with little provocation
that they can appear as random, or random being
a close enough approximation for the game.
Things like metal fatigue due to manufacturing
defects causing spar failure in mild Gs, etc.

What about random 109 with a wax on it ,that gives 15-20km/h to max speed.

so lets stop this now or it will be endless depate.
