Why did Bellec always hated that Mirabeau wanted to help Elise and that Arno loved her as she is a Templar their enemies but at the same time he always referred to Altair although he did the same thing as Arno and loved the Templar Maria Thorpe.

And he also mentioned Connor, someone who wanted peace with the Templars(but ultimately broke it). Ideally he should have mentioned Thomas de Carneillon and Ezio, Ahmet told Ezio they they are grown men and shouldn't be fighting since their goal his peace but it's his they want that is different. Ezio's ingnore it and gave him a death treat for wanting to find Alta´r's hidden treasure(that they didn't know is an AOE). Before that mission Ezio at some point says to Piri Reis in a said in a side mission that he "fights to end the fighting". Bellec is a blind fanatic. And Thomas simply because he's another legendary Assassin.

Alta´r marrying Maria wasn't enough of a reason to believe peace between the templars is possible, and either way, Maria left the templars after finding out their true purpose. I agreed with Bellec's thoughts, but not his actions. Arno was motivated by Elise, Elise was motivated by (BOOK SPOILERS INCOMING) Jennifer Kenway. When she gave Elise the letters from Haytham saying that peace was possible between the templars and assassins, Jennifer told Elise to try and make it so.
To me it just makes no sense. They're exact opposites in their views on how to run the world, they can't exactly coexist. For a short time, maybe, but not forever

If you listen to what he actually says:

And if all other plans fail, why not sacrifice yourself for the cause? Your life for his. Before Alta´r, that was the Levantine approach.

It actually sounded more like Bellec thought Altair changed the Brotherhood for the worse.

Bellec is just a more modern Abbas.

A dangerous, deluded fanatic.

Before he fought Arno he used Masyaf as an example of when the brotherhood purged their leadership and changed for the better
