Hello Everyone,

Ever since I bought IL-2:FB I've gotten this error. I remember a few other's saying that they were getting it aswell. I have delt with it since I bought it but now it's getting rather anouying. The error only appear's "after" I close IL-2:FB. Does anybody know why I am getting this error everytime I close my IL-2:FB? And if so,do you know how to stop it from happening? I really hope Oleg and crew fix this because I'm getting down right anouyed by it. I'll post my dxdiag if anyone want's to see it. Thank's and sorry if I posted this in the wrong place, but I think Oleg and crew need to see this. =S=

Good idea. Make sure everything is updated. Make sure you have you drivers up to date. If your a techy you can play with your OpenGL settings and look for any potential conflicts.

I know by the time I close the game I'm so tired I don't care if the error said my house would burn to the ground. I'd just close the error window or hit the reset button! LOL

Hello Guy's,

Well my video driver's are up to date. I just updated them yesterday. Yet I still get that damn error. I am pretty sure everything is updated aswell. I wish I knew what was causing this error because it's anouying me. I'm not a computer technician or else I would have solved the problem long ago. I think I will contact Hunter and see if he can help me out. But I still think Oleg and crew should know about this just incase it's something in FB. Well the error does say "IL-2FB has caused an error in OPENGL32.DLL. IL-2FB will now close. If you continue to experience problems, try restarting your computer.". Hopefully it'll get fixed one way or another. =S=

Sounds like, from the breif description something is going wrong when it is trying to switch modes from OpenGL back to your DirectX 2D that windows runs in. By any chance are you running the game in a different resolution than your desktop?

Just a as a test see if running them in the same resolution works (or if they are the same try making them different)...

Hello WWSensei,

I am running my desktop resolution at 1024x768 and 16 bit. I'm also running my IL-2:FB at 1024x768 and 16 bit aswell. I don't think it has anything to do with the switching back and forth between resolution's. I used to run my desktop at 800x600 and 16 bit and my IL-2:FB at 1024x768 and 16 bit. I got the error then too. And the error is being caused by IL-2:FB in OPENGL32.Dll. So my guess it's something in my IL-2:FB that causing the error. I'll send a PM to Hunter and see what he say's. I hope Oleg's crew look's into this just to be sure of the problem. =S=

Squirral, you should look into posts mentioning jvm.dll error, because the error you are getting, I get from time to time. It usually happens in the middle of the game, but sometimes, when turning it off like in your case. Unfortunately, there's no solution yet.

I just bought FB a couple of days ago, and I'm getting similar error messages. The error only occurs after exiting the game.

"IL2FB caused an invalid page fault in
module OPENGL32.DLL at 017f:78aa0304.

It happened with 1.0 (out of the box) and also after installing the newest patch.
It occurs if I set my desktop res/depth to match in-game settings.
It does not appear to affect the game. ONLY occurs after closing the game.

Hello Rab03,

I get this this error every single time I close FB down. But only when I close down FB. I never get it while FB is loading or when I'm playing. The game run's absolutely fine. It's only after I close FB I get this error. And the same one every time. I just did a search for file's and folder's on my comp and this "jvm.dll" is in "C:\Program Files\Ubi Soft\IL-2 Sturmovik:Forgotten Battles\bin\hotspot". This make's me believe it has something to do with FB,not my computer. However,I'm no computer technician so I'm probably wrong there. I contacted Hunter82 via PM but I haven't gotten anything back. Hopefully he'll see this soon. =S=
