I took the audio from the P-47 MP3 and shortened it to about 4 seconds (cropped off the rest)

Beautiful...great recordings. Even these don't do the sounds total justice...when the 4 Merlin engined Lancaster flys above you at 100 meters or so on near full throttle...you don't so much hear it in your ears as you feel it in your gut.
