Do you mean Shiden-Kai? Kia is a Korean car. As for references, I believe that there is a website or two centered on Imperial Japanese militaria. Check out

http://www.aircraftresourcecenter.com

and click on their 'Links.' You should find something in there.

The Smithsonian Air and Space museum has a restored George on display in the new annex- just opened last month. You should contact them. I would expect that the right source there would have detailed information and photos of the cockpit and including restoration information. Don't know how freely they would give out the information but I can't imagine that they would refuse a legit request for help.

Take it from me, you just ain't gonna find a copy of that Monogram book: I've had feelers out on Ebay for close to 3 months now, and I've found ONE copy anywhere, for close to $90 in England!!!

But, for your George "jones", you're in luck. The best source you can get....

This is a link to an ebay auction for a Frank Maru Mechanic, but the source, "zeroman" has had George MaruM's for sale in the recent past. Send him an email, or keep doing a search on Yahoo for "Maru Mechanic". Eventually you'll luck out.
