The forum says it was a very tight box of 48 B-17s (3 lines of 4 planes, stacked 4 high) rammed from the front by a Mistel.

Quote: "I know I had succeeded when my computer froze solid for 20 seconds."

It reminds me quite a bit of the landing scenes in the movie Starship trooper.

Any landing you can walk away from is a good one!

Well, that was the theory behind a beast like the AIM-26A Falcon A2A missile, with its nuclear warhead... having a nice explosion just in the middle of a box of bear bombers

Wow...all that and not a single parachute in sight!

I like the third to last pic. If you look in the upper left corner you'll see one of the bombers actually dropping it's bomb load.
Now that's a dedicated crew!

24 beers in a case.
24 hours in a day.
Coincidence...I think not !!!

Very creative. Great screenshots.
I hope no neo-nazi with time-travel capabilities sees them. Might change the outcome of the war.

I would imagine they aren't dropping their bomb load to attack the target, but rather to get rid of thousands of pounds of explosives because they are in an emergency situation. They will do it once they've taken enough damage from your guns too. Just a thought. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

You know, the rain of debris probably did more damage on the ground than if he just let the bombers finish their attack. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
