Didn't know there was one in the works. There is the A6M5 in 1.2, is that what you mean?

At the start of WW2 the German army lacked experienced anti-aircraft gunners. The average gunner was so bad that the USSR decided to help them out. They did it by forcing some of their pilots to fly I-153 flak magnets. These planes were slow but very sturdy. This allowed German anti-aircraft gunners to get a large amount of target practice on a relatively small number of planes. Thanks to the Soviets help, by the end of the war the German anti-aircraft gunners were amoung the best in the world.</center>

No, I'm pretty certain we're getting an early war A6M2.
Seen pix of it-
It's visual model seems much better fidelity-wise to the A6M5 we have in 1.2-

why you so eager to have A6M2 when A6M5 is the improved version of the Zero series? It does everything A6M2 does plus it's little faster in level flight and has increased dive speed.

To answer Kukys question about why we are eager to get the AM62 Zero in the Pay for Add on.

Myself, I will be able to create 1941 and 42 Scenarios for the South Pacific, as the AM62 Zero saw action against most of the Allied fighter varients in the South Pacific region.
The Hurricane over Ceylon, the P-40 the P39 in most areas of the Pacific, no doubt against the RAF Brewsters in Maylaya, and even the Spitfire V over Northern Australia.

I am pretty excited about the scope of Missions for the AM62, especially Historicaly accurate missions, once we get the Pay for add on.

S!

A6M2 is the one in Pearl Harbor and Midway... The natural foe of P-40 and Buffalo...

Because it's cooler.

I would of preferred to see an A6M2 or A6M3 ingame but the A6M5 is pretty cool.

The A6M5 was heavier than the A6M2.so it was less maneubrable too...
