It's nice to have some more early war soviet tanks to play with.

Pretty sure this is a new one in AEP, anyway ..

Any BT-5's or T-26's modeled? Those tanks sure would be nice for a Spanish Civil War scenario, the 1939 Russo-Japanese conflict, as well as the 1940 Winter War--all "Forgotten Battles".

No, unfortunately, on the Soviet side, all you get to put in the map is:

7TP
BT7
T60
T70

For the early war set. You can throw in the Barbarossa era KV1s and T-34s but they'll pretty much stomp any other tank by comparison for the time, you have to use direct fire artillery/airstrikes to get rid of them as the Germans did.

I agree a winter war / 2nd russo-japanese war scenario would be an excellent forgotten battle.

edit: oh, and the t-40, which I never use coz of the stupid bigass tracers :>

Sorry about that :> It shows up as red/soviet side so I assumed it was an aquisitional piece like the B-239 and Hurricane Mk1 we have in the game.

I was thinking it might have been some odd variant/improvement of the BT-7 (which has been modeled since IL2:Original), as I could not find the new tank listed on these webpages! http://www.battlefield.ru/gallery/gallery1.html

Well, now we can have offense and some defense on the ground during a German invasion of Western Poland scenario, but we still could use some more early war Russian tanks for Stalin's invasion of the other half of Poland. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

LOL, the point is that we do have eastern part of Poland (almost whole Lvov map) but sadly no central/western region (otherwise I'd be making a campaign in no time), as the only bit on the west is lies within modern Polish borders. And this is WW2 sim after all.

Luckily Josiv got you corrected, coz we (Eric and I) wanted to rip you apart for your ignorance. So the Hurricane and Thunderbolt are Russian, too? LOL! (no offense for the joke, I simply had to http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif )
This baby was the first serial produced diesel tank and was the best "Vickers offspring", bar none.

And the remaining captured units were called Panzerkampfwagen 7TP(p) and last of them were destroyed in ... Normandy. You could see 7TP in German camo in first screenshots for Oleg's new "BoB" sim.

So for the n-th time:
=====================
PZL_Eric : 3D model (all LODs etc.)
Rola (me) : all the rest (textures etc.)

And yes, it was very nice from Oleg to include this Polish PzKpfw III counterpart into the game. Thanks for tweaking my textures, guys http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Ah! Well thanks to all of you as well who worked on the model. Had a feeling I'd seen something similiar being worked on as a 3rd party ground object a while ago..

Sorry about mixing up the origins of the tank, not a line of hardware I'm very familiar with :>

The 7TP tank is a good addition, when creating a mission I choose it by error and without knowing I replace a Sherman (76) group wich had a waypoint leading on an encounter with Panzer IV H and I test the map.
I don`t need to describe what happen. We need the tankettes aswell, not to counter the Panzer IV of course http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Valathar, if we find the time (this means me and Oleg's team too) we may yet add the tankettes. PZL_Eric did all the 3D models, I need to put them together and texture them.

Yup http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif but as the sig says: in Oleg's new sim.

We are launching a new website soon where you will find all info about "September 1939" project, stay tuned.
