Oleg, I flew 22 missions as a bombardier in B29's based both in Tinian Mariannas and in India. I have flown in every position on the B29; was a Remote Control Gunnery Instructor,(B-29 Central Fire Control System) Celestial Navigator, Radar Navigator, Flight Engineer, co-pilot and Aircraft Commander. I have some pictures of West Field, Tinian from the air, and our organization's Official photo Album, which was published right after the war.
(which contains some target "strike" photos.)

I was Military Advisor for B17II, and helped in other areas although I am not a programmer.

Contact me here if I can help,to alert me. My Email address has not changed from the one I registered on this forum when I joined, if you wish to contact me privately..

Thats the Pacific Fighters forum...and try and contact Luthier. I doubt they plan to do a B-29...or at least not right away...but it sounds like you'd be the perfect person to help them work out details!!

Will do! Thanks for directing me there. I wrote this after seeing four pictures of the B-29 that are published on the home page right now.

Something that would be extreme help would be someone with a digital camera having access to a B-29 to get detailed pics of just about every part of the plane, especially the inside. Even scanned original photos would be great except I suppose those were classified and not easy to find? The model makers often find themselves stumped over little things according to a thread here on why we don't have the bombers we want. They are also very major efforts compared to fighters.

It is a shame we can't point a camera into your ear and get the memories on film! I think though that some of those would scare the bejeebers out of most of us.
