Specifically on the damage model, what areas on a plane register damage to elevator, roll, and rudder control? Are they big areas or small areas?

If you wanted to render someones controls unusable, what would you aim for and where is it located?

A picture might be very helpful here but a description would suffice.

How many peole actually intentionally aim for these areas or do you usually let it happen randomly? how hard are they to hit?

I've never targeted a specific area on a fighter. On bombers sometimes I'll go for the bombbay if I can get a good angle.

Inside the fuselage there are long, thin rectangular boxes that represent elevator cables. Same with boxes in the wings for aileron cables. Hitting these will disable the surfaces.

A bullet has to penetrate far enough into the aircraft to hit it, then probably has to do a certain amoutn of damage to destroy the cable.

Also, there is a small box at the corner of each surface that acts as the hinge. I believe hitting this blows the surface off.
