Assassin's Creed World/Online (MMO)

I have been thinking of this idea for the Assassin's Creed team to progress with, and can hopefully branch out to the competitive multiplayer market.

The genre is a Massive Multiplayer Online (MMO) game which will use a cloud system.

This will be a continuiously developing game.

The game will enable the player to create and customise their own Assassin.

Player's will be able to choose the nationality of their Assassin which will also determine what weapons are available to that assassin and the style of how they fight in combat. For example a Japanese assassin's fighting sequences and animations will be different to that of a European assassin, Japanese and Chinese assassin's will use martial arts techniques an agility maneouvres in combat and assassinations where as the European Assassin's will be more straightforward nothing fancy but simple and deadly sort of style.

Each nationalities will have both their adavantages and disadvantages and will have their own set animations, The European assassin's will have access to more advanced ranged equipment but will lack the skill and finesse when it comes to dealing with multiple targets in melee or close quaters combat. Europeans will have more deadly offensive attacks when they connect, but are slower and easier to counter, where as the Chinese, Brazilian and Japanese assassin's will have more counter sequences available to them as they use martial arts and capoeira so they can counteract to almost any situation in combat but they lack power on the offensive side but their attacks are difficult to counter.

Player's Assassin's will be able to expertise in a skill path depending on which weapon has been chosen as their main weapon in combat and depending if it's an assassin that has been chosen to expertised in the feild of ranged or melee weapons, ranged assassins will still have the default sequences of melee combat sequences but not as much melee sequences available to them and will be weaker in the melee and close combat department.

Assassin's gain experience points each game and when they progress to a higher level and level up they gain a skill point to spend in their skill path to unlock new combat sequences/ deadly animations or abilities, they will also gain an attribute point to spend on their assassin's stats, such as power, speed, agility and health.

[LIST]
Power - determines how much damage your assassin inflicts on an enemy with an attack
[LIST]
Speed - determines how fast your character and sprint, reload, and how difficult your assassin's offensive attacks are to counter
[LIST]
Agility - determines how easy it is to counter your enemy's offensive attacks and how effecient your assassin is at climbing
[LIST]
Health - determines how much damage your assassin can take and his/her health capacity
[LIST]
Accuracy - (mainly for the ranged assassins) determines how much damage you inflict on your target with a ranged weapon

To unlock an ability in the skill path/skill tree will require a certain amount of attribute points in a certain stat, for example a martial art animation sequence whether it is an offensive/defensive skill will require a certain amount of points in Speed and Agillity first.

Weapons will also have their own statistics but are unchangeable.

Game modes I have thought of are shown below.

[LIST]
Team Assassinaton - This is the regular game mode, a team of 6 assassin's vs another team of 6, each assassin will have their own contracts to kill another assassin under a time limit before the contract expires and changes, the team with the most points wins.

[LIST]
Kill or Protect the VIP - One player will be assigned a character whilst the rest of the team will be assigned as soldier/ personal body guard characters, the VIP character's cannot fight back against the assassin's but his personal body guard can, the VIP has the ability to hide away from the assassin's such as in closets, barrels, under beds, boxes, haystacks, church confessional boxes ect. The opposing team will be the assassins who have to kill the VIP under a time limit if every member on the assassination team is killed off then they fail or if the time limit expire.

The time limit expiring will result in the VIP's reinforcments arriving and capturing the assassins and will show a short cinematic or cutscene of those assassins being executed. Also depending on which assassin kills the VIP first and which sort of environment the VIP is in will determine the death scene animation for the assassin which will cut to a short cinematic or cutscene, for example if the assassin reaches the VIP at the top of a tower there will be a cinematic of the assassin pushing the VIP from the top of the tower with a civilian unnoticeably and incoveniently pushing a soft landing object out of the VIP's way, or if the VIP is in a church bell tower the assassin will hang the VIP by the neck using the church bells, or if the VIP is on a horse and carriage the Assassin will push the VIP's head out of the window with an oncoming approaching object, the VIP will have his own abilities though and issue help commands to AI guards and soldiers.

[LIST]
Rebelion- similar to Kill or Protect the VIP, but the VIP is held up in a defensive postion with an angry mob outside the barricades, the assassin's have to open entrances to the mob to get to the VIP however, there are only a certain amount of angry rabble members and the assassin's have to ensure that the opposing team does not kill all of them otherwise they fail.

With this game using a cloud system and this being a continuiously developing game this will allow the developers to constantly expand this game with new content for the players to purchase such as legendary and mythological weapons such as the Chinese Flying Guilontine and new time zones, animations, cutscenes and locations.

Anyway I hope this idea becomes a reality if you read this please tell a friend and get talking about this idea!

Well an MMO AC is interesting, that's for sure.

Though there is a lot of stuff that might not make sense as far as anachronism goes (can't expect most people to go melee when I can be a ranged assassin with a revolver as my main gun), unless everything is an Anachronistic Stew littered with Schizo Tech.

The ranged Assassins will be vunerable at close quaters so they're very weak when it comes to melee combat with little defensive capabilities so they really have to keep their distance from the melee assassins so if they engaged in close quaters the likely hood of them surving will be very slim, and plus there will still be a way for the developers to balance the classes.

This is just a rough starting position for the developers to expand or take advantage of.
