Anyone with detailed information about the SCR-520 (P-61A) or SCR-720/C (P-61B) radars carried by the P-61, please email me at snakebitt@mindspring.com with the email subject P-61 RADAR.

Here is what I need:
Any details concerning
--crew operation
--detection characteristics and capability
--operating behavior
--displayed images on the various scopes
--any other details AT ALL

Also, information about the IFF ID system that was carried is more than welcome. I do not know that system's name.

Furthermore, anybody who knows where I can obtain copies of the P-61 pilot, gunner, radar operator, or radar maintenance manuals, please email me and tell me!

Thanks!

If you want the flight manual, just order the P-61 DVD at Zeno's. You can find it here:

PS the manual is an 18mb pdf. If your mail box can handle it,let me know and I'll mail it to you.

Oleg said he could do tail warning radars if someone provided enough information...

Why don't you just e-mail the people at the Mid Atlantic Air Museum? They're restoring a P-61 (I bought a CFS2 P-61 a while back, for which part of the proceeds went to funding this project).

If anyone knows how the radar worked and get you access to manuals, it would be these guys.

Actually Oleg said that just about anything can be done in the Fb engine. that was in response to Carriers. now we have Carriers. funny though...they can do everything else but they can model counter rotating props. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/51.gif
Just an observation.

if this (radar- P-61) can be done it would kick azz.
