LOMAC is Great in all aspects to me.

Hardest Jet sim ever comes to dynamics, because those planes are so steed and heavy, and none of the flight sims illustrated that before.

IL2FB starts missing my vote if oleg Still just playing those numbers of the planes dynamic. That would really Keep me Busy to get along with my "New Planes" without too much work load to himself. Smart as huh http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

P51 vs F15, IL2FB vs LOMAC, I hope the ubi staff won't play too much evil marketing game with us to make any of them delay.

2 hotties in your sig, but the blo-mac demo is horable, I cant understand how people think its good and will buy a sim with 8 flyables when it comes out, the ai look like the were taken out of falcon 3.0 and the The 3d cockpits look like cfs2 panels, explosions are crap its already off my system it was that bad in my opinion and I have 280gigs free space.

I definatly agree with you about all these fm problems and the lack of whats going on from oleg and when he does make an announcement it usually doesnt explain much at all and he doesnt respond back. Even tucker hatfield in cfs2 would logon to the msn gaming zone and talk to the community answer questions.

Oleg seems not to be a part of the community here anymore and they should close down olegs rr.

I thought i'd like it, but I don't. Jets just don't have the character that WW2 fighters do. I'll stick to props.

Installed LOMAC and immediately after starting remembered why I don't play "Jet Era" flight sims:
1."Arcade" do not have a "real" feel, "Real" are just too complicated to master and enjoy, 2. All planes feel more or less the same;
3. Shooting missiles beyond visual range just is not that interesting.

My vote goes for FB and its successor.

PS Nice chick, by the way....

Sorry for the large screenie but this sim will be great! I'm not much of BVR guy either but close in dogfighting with jets using guns only is just as fun as flying a WW2 sim. IMO anyways. The TWR of the MiG-29 is impressive and just taking off in that thing gets my blood pumping! It's not like flying a Dora-9 but awesome in its own way!/i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Just tried the LOMAC demo.... oh dear! Some serious magic will have to be worked on this one. I'll revisit LOMAC after the first patch has been released - It'll only cost a fiver in the bargain basket by then.
How is it that woman is telling me my mig has hydraulic failure yet my undercarriage still cycles up and down ok?
FB is still the one to beat!

Tedious unoriginal philoshophical statement the pith of which is lost in repetition.

I don't know what you guys are talking about.

The Graphics:

The AC are stunning

The ground and objects are wonderful

The Game play:

I really got the 'feel' for the jets. You really get a since of how heavy they are.

Close in dogfighting is just as challenging as WWII, yea you can kill w/ a missile at extreme angle off, but so can your opponent.

The Bugs:

hey this is just a Beta 5 demo, they are currently on Beta 10, so don't be so quick to judge.

I don't judge but, I think one big problem has arised.

Seeing this demo, I feel another DELAY is imminent.

I decided not to wait lomac.

Bright side: October is coming, add-on is coming! /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

I gotta keep in mind, that it's still just an early beta-demo, but I really miss some things and honestly, I'm dissapointed.

It seems they replaced the phyisics engine with scripts. The bullets fly straight for 6km+ and the FFAR-rockets the same.
The landing is ridiculous.

It's really more a game than a sim, right now, so my worst fears seem to come true: LOMAC is an eyecatcher, but without the sim-depth it was supposed to have.

Again, it's just an early demo, but it looks more like Flanker 2.6, than a really new Simulation.

(Besides that, the graphics aren't that good, honestly. It's nice and I understand it's a whole different thing to mape this large area, but, well, looking at IL2FBs detailed textures, they really give a lot better sense of speed flying low.)

It's just my opinion, but I'm honestly not impressed.
