I love it. Planes that I was most enthusiastic about:

P-38 - Bravo, Love it 99%, compass needs to be addressed, but over-all I think it's my new favorite plane. Dogfighter? Not really, but it can be in the right hands.. Guns? mmmm seem like they could be a little more devistating, but then again, I'm no P-38 expert..

P-51B - (my all-time favorite P-51..) I haven't gotten the full sense of it yet, but the over-all is that for the first time I think I prefer the D.. But the cockpit looks great.. The malcom hood "C" variant will likely be my P-51 of choice...we'll see though..

110 - Astouding... You lucky Krauts!

109z - deadly, deadly, deadly against the P-38 (so far it seems) better lock this plane out!!! ;) jk

The Hawk? - Shame on you oleg for not making it flyable ;)

Spits- so far, so good...

J-8 - amazing detailed cockpit...Amazing!

Ta 152--Watch OUT! This thing's a P-51/P-38 killer...

I agree. This sim just keeps getting better and for the great majority of players it is working well. Dont listen to the few who are seemingly never satisfied and just like to complain about anything and everything.

Ta152 and P38

Yep, the Ta is a mustang killer like no other I think but it has it's limitations. What they are against the mustang I don't know (lol) but I'm sure there must be something :)

Agree, ignore the negative hype. Some people are never happy and thats a shame. Unfortunately they tend to have the loudest voices. Rather irritating I must say but to each his own.

The P38 rocks. I think some of the people complaining expect too much out of it TnB wise but if you've ever flown the 190's, P39 or P47 you'll feel right at home in this plane. It has this mysterious thing called 'limitations' that many of the TnB AC don't. If you are used to flying a plane that takes effort because of it's 'limitations' then you will find the P38 to be a high quality ride and something you can be proud to master.

I totally agree, Raven.. I love the P-38, I love the Spits and the Ki-C is an absolute murderous machine. I was online last nite and got four kills in my first sortie ... You just fly towards someone, pull the trigger, and their wings fall off... :)

I spent a hour this afternoon flying all the new aircraft. I got the same feeling as I had when I first got FB last March. Like a kid in a candy store. I wouldn't care if they ever fix any of the new bugs but I know they will try.

It may be my imagination but everything seems to fly better and I seemed to shoot better. B17's are a lot easier to whack but you may have to turn off force feedback on some of the big cannons like on the new ME 262 1945

Has anyone matched up the P-38L and Ta-152H at high altitude (12-14,000m)? Speed? Maneuverability? Firepower?

I know what the specs say, but wonder about the FMs.

BTW, pre-ordered AEP and paid for special shipping; it won't arrive until this weekend per Ubi. I'll try not to make the same mistake twice.

I got my AEC today and I am very happy, just today I got so much joy for $30 that I don't know anything else that could match it. 100% worth the price even if you're unemployed...

I don't know what they did, but rendering is more like IL2. I can id a plane MUCH farther away than I could. Makes fighting a lot easier.

I just wish our friends on the other side of the pond had it. I want more people to play with http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I agree Baldie, its easier to spot planes,

How About That 110!!!! Its great having to manage 2 engines, try taxiing straight on your first try!!!!
Sounds are good too
I'm loving it.

P-38 just keeps getting better and better... http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif I feel like a traitor to my P-51... I will be back my precious....

The 110 - is unstoppable (first impression) thing turns on a dime for what it was...Can't tell if the P-38 can match it over-all, especially with that rear gunner... You lucky, lucky LW pilots....
