"The Eyeties are comparatively easy to shoot down. Oh, they're brave enough. In fact, I think the Eyeties have more courage than the Germans, but their tactics aren't so good. They are very good gliders, but they try to do clever acrobatics and looping. But they will stick it even if things are going against them, where as the Jerries will run." Beurling in Malta Spitfire

lol great vid you should thrown in the il2 spinning a level 180 degrees when one guns shot out and letting go of the trigger it whips back -180, and the i153 is arcade mode how it clearly takes more damage then any plane in the game http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif and dont forget the collision kills of people flying right threw other planes and blowing them up

Coupla questions for you.

Do I have to use FRAPS to capture tracks to convert to movies? Apparently, my video card won't work with it.. says something about SSI (?) drivers or something like that.

Do you all think the naval AAA is really that bad? I mean, every video I've seen of it, and everytime I've gone up against it, it's only been one plane. With the amount of firepower most gunships have, it's reasonable to assume you're going to lose most times. It's like flying into a lead wall. Admittedly, I've tried flying solo on one of the multiplayer maps (the one with ships in the rivers, mission 2, dogfight 5) and even flying at 400 knots just about 5 feet over the surface, through trees, they still get me. But not every time. I've flown ba11s to the wall right thru them, and about half the time I get thru, even if I'm damaged. The only way to take on a battlegroup, or even a couple of ships, is en masse... lots and lots of planes, with only a couple escaping. Do you think I'm really off on this one?

i can see over the 190 pit good enough (thats what it was really like /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif ). Pe-8s have much slower roll rates than P-47s,

however the enemy anti-aircraft fire (and plane gunners ) are way too accurate i have to agree with that.

Beautiful!!! I finally got the Rodeo video, thanks to Michapma. Both vids are great, and I ROFLMAO at the patch whiner video. The Rodeo vid was just good fun. All of the videos that I have seen for this game until now have been so gloom and doom. Don't get me wrong, I loved the Requiem video, and all that were entered in the video contest. It's just good to see someone lighten up a bit. Very good!

tsisqua, here are a couple more humorous ones:

Another classic make-you-laugher, I put it on the server just so you could see it, but I don't remember if I actually have permission to:
http://people.ee.ethz.ch/~chapman/flightsims/oberstguncam/Movies/il2rnr1mb.wmv (16.3MB)

A very original Swiss-brewed film "12 seconds", by Christian Noetzli, who went to the same Swiss institute I do, the one whose server hosts these films:
http://people.ee.ethz.ch/~chapman/flightsims/oberstguncam/Movies/12_Seconds_(DivX5_320x252).avi (http://people.ee.ethz.ch/~chapman/flightsims/oberstguncam/Movies/12_Seconds_[DivX5_320x252).avi) (10.1MB)

The famous Me-323 torpedoing by Freycinet:
http://people.ee.ethz.ch/~chapman/flightsims/oberstguncam/Movies/Il-2.torpedoes.Me-323.in.mid-air.3.21.min.DivX.small.avi (17.1MB)

Here's a beautiful one that showcases the FB landscapes:
http://people.ee.ethz.ch/~chapman/flightsims/oberstguncam/Movies/Impressionen.WMV (16MB)

How did this one get in there? /i/smilies/16x16_robot-very-happy.gif
http://people.ee.ethz.ch/~chapman/flightsims/oberstguncam/Movies/ZuZuPetals.WMV (603kB)

There are all kinds of "gloom and doom" films, real-war footage, guncam clips and even the odd instructional video at Wiley's site. /i/smilies/16x16_robot-happy.gif

Cheers and enjoy,
Mike

Getting it right now /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif Ewww, bad storm outside. I hope that my system doesn't become a lightning rod. Thanks for the goodies.

edit: I just watched the first one. Beyond awesome! I love how real the track/intro style looks! Then it morphs into color! This is by far the best video quality I have seen yet in one of these movies The music really adds to the feel of the entire thing. He!!, I even looked at the Bink trailer for the game, the official one, and it doesn't look this good! I think I just wet myself.
