Yes dammit, it rolls too fast at high speeds.

I used a stopwatch and the roll + slip indicator, Moscow map, 75% fuel, 3,000-3,200m.

Peak roll = 170-180 deg/sec. @250 mph. That's pretty darn accurate, historically.

The problem with the FW190 roll in FB 1.1b is that the 3D physics engine seems to "go linear" above 350-400mph. That means no drop off in rate of roll for the FW190 as speed increases above 400mph.

From 400mph and over, the FW190 appears to roll at ~120 deg/sec with no drop off.

Hopefully, this will get fixed in the um, ah, um...patch patch.

all i can say is the fw190 was inferior b4 and now is a force to be reckoned with since many people fly it now unlike b4.

Roll rate is probably a bit much in that area of over 400 km/h and at a decent altitude. Still...its probably more prohibitive to the guy who trys to spin his way out of everything and end up in a nice little snap stall or something.

dont forget people who calibrate thier joysticks in a small circle, i can get 3 full rolls doing 650+ in under 1.3 seconds, I demostrated this to many online nothing to do but laugh same goes for all 190s yaks mig3u i153 i16 and b239

all the planes that can do the unrealistic jink stall fishflop avoid movement and still fly like they are on rails maintaining such a high speed need to be corrected, other then that the doras climbrate and dive speed seem so close to the real numbers its such and improvement like most fms now. they just need to do something about the fishflop

I tweaked my settings a little bit, and it's very comfortable with the 190:

I configured my joystick so that I can't get maximum deflection on the ailerons and elevator. It flies more smooth now and it doesn't feel like it's had 10 cups of coffee!/i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Lead, CHDT, Robban:

Are you guys able to get a more historically accurate roll-rate with adjusted calibrations?

Can someone post some numbers?

My FW feels like it's on drugs, especially the elevator, any idea how to smoothen it out?
