Is there ever likely to be a manual (*.pdf format) or dedicated part of the website that will give more comprehensive instructions/demos/explainations to newbie pilots. Things like take-off and landings, complex engine management, aerial gunnery etc.

These issues are covered in the training tracks and some of the associated websites, but to have all this information in one place would be wonderfull for plane-crashers like myself. Especially if you can print it out and read it in bed/bath/stuck in traffic.

Good idea - Just to add on to it, wouldn't it be nice to have a 'tactics' section of the site with different aerial dogfight, strafing and bombing tactics used by different planes maybe illustrated with screen shots?

The thing with these ideas is that they're great when you don't have to organise them and get them online yourself!!!

That's partly my point. Sites like Mudmovers are excellent, but it's not quite working properly at the moment plus it is a third-party site.

I think it would be nice if Oleg and Co. did this - can't be that hard can it? I mean they did the training tracks and manual in the first place.

BTW, in the original and CD manual it tells you how to take off but nowhere does it tell you how to land...

There was a plan by cartrix to create a flight school,a whole new forum of training tracks, manuals etc.
When he left the word has never been heard of again.
