I've got me Eye on the Corsair. I've even got an Instructional Video on the Startup/Takeoff/climb/landing proceedures.

I've also got ones for the Avenger and the P-47 but thats not the point.

If in, TBD. It's a suicidal notion to be sure, espcially on a torp run, but it's a challenge I'm just itching to experience.

Difficult question to answer as we don't have the plane list yet http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/35.gif

Of the "definates" we do know about, Seafire, Wildcat and Hellcat in that order of preference and on the Axis side I can't wait to hop in the Ki-61.

Now, if we get a Ki-44 that will be my bird of choice http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif

"As weaponry, both were good, but in far different ways from each other. In a nutshell, I describe it this way: if the FW 190 was a sabre, the 109 was a florett, or foil, like that used in the precision art of fencing." - G√ľnther Rall

kikka, I see we share an interest in the fighters of the Empire. Flying for the IJN or IJAAF will be very challenging, especially after 1943. With the advent of the modern and dominant USN types we will have our work cut out for us. That said, the Ki61 has been a dream of mine for a long time. A well flown Hien will still be a force to be reckoned with, even as late as 1945. And there will always be the Ki100 (I hope.)

Kozhedub: In combat potential, the Yak-3, La-7 and La-9 fighters were indisputably superior to the Bf-109s and Fw-190s. But, as they say, no matter how good the violin may be, much depends on the violinist. I always felt respect for an enemy pilot whose plane I failed to down.
