there is an AN-124 parked outside the wittman field in oshkosh termanal. it is going to leave today!!!

Actually, it's the second largest plane in the world.
The largest plane is AN-225 "Mriya". It has 6 engines and was used to carry russian space shuttle on its back.

I'm not sure but I would think so. It's a relatively new plane. But since russian space shuttle program is gone it must be hard to find a profitable use for such a large monster.

There was a documentary on the AN 225 a little while ago. Apparently it was in storage and was rebuilt after the fall of the Soviet Union. They had a lot of trouble getting permission to fly it again but you can now charter it thru a British based firm called Antonov Transport or something.

Cool documentary if you can find it.

I wonder how many I-16's we could transport in that. Could we deploy them while in flight...maybe out the tail end? Opening the nose in flight may cause some instability.
