An interesting but non-consequential bug.

When ejecting from aircraft that have ejector-seats (He162,Go229), it seems as long as the seat is still attached to your bum,(extra-vehicularly), you still have control of your aircraft. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/blink.gif

Easiest way to test is turn the wingtip smoke on and off after ejecting. Aiming is very difficult. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

The seat sticking to the pilots rear is correctly modeled and is a direct result of "pucker factor". The more scared a pilot is right before he bails the more likely it is that the seat will stick to his butt. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Heh heh... http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

And then it drops away once relief sets in at having survived the ejection right?

Joe Kittinger of the Man High program bailed out of a balloon at 100,000 feet altitude and his butt got stuck on the seat too.

Puckering A-holes aside http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif ,

Oleg actually addressed this shortly after the AEP release. Aparently an ejection seat was never planned when IL-2 was originally created so many years ago and what we have now is the best that can be done with the current engine. Another example of this is the torque on the P-38 (nobody thought they'd ever have to include a plane with counter-rotating props).

I had a Motorcycle... Once. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-happy.gif When the Old Honda connected to a Farmers fence... I also was ejected and my Butt had the same Pucker Power to the Gass Tank. I left a Picture perfect indent of my butt in the tank... almost like it was made that way. Needless to say... walking was slow for a couple of weeks. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif
