Nice pics.
Are any of those still flyable, or just there for show.

To answer the questions
As far as i know they are both still flyable ,While i was there the Yak went up and did a little routeen .I did not see the Kate go up but seeing it closeup it was definately in flying condition .And i do beleive it is a Yak 9U

Did you get to see the Super Hornet show? What did you think?

It's a Yak-3, should be at least. A Yak-9U's nose and engine line up a bit more evenly.

I can't be quoted on that though.

It's a Hollywood Kate (Tora Tora Tora, where would we be today without that film) based on a Vultee BT-13 Valiant (pronounced: Vibrator http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif).

The Yak is a new WrongwayYak with Allison and righthand paddleblade prop. I would LOVE http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif to have one of these.

I was there Sunday too, Pielkop. The day started out with rain, but cleared up later on and a grand time was had by all. A lot of tributes to the recently departed Col. Bob Morgan.

I came in as the Golden Knights were performing, so I missed the Yak performance -- my one regret of the day. Glad to see there are others here who were there too.

Did you see it catch on fire? They had to make a pretty expeditious landing. I wasn't there- do you have any pics of it catching on fire?

Yeah that would be great. I don't know if it was anything dramatic. One of my friends was the pilot. He would probably appreciate it.
