Hello Oleg,

Since I had read that the B-17 could be in the next patch I wonder if the Yak-9DD can be added too. This is because the Yak-9DD was a long range fighter (2000km) that among other missions it was used to escort the B-17 and B-24 to Poltava when they was used in the raids in Rumania.
The Yak-9DD is like the Yak-9D with the difference that it was based in the wireframe of the Yak-9T and the 37mm cannon was replaced by a 20mm one.

How many were built and used?
its only for my personal knowledge of course, considering how many Lagg3 IT and Yak 9K were built...hehehe

LaGG-3-37 - at list 40 build and used (were build in many small batches till 1943).
Yak-9K - 53 build and at list 44 used on the front.
Yak-9DD - 399 build and used.
Yak-9UT - 282 before the war ended.
Russians were building planes in small batches in IL-2 called "type". There were 66 batches of LaGG-3 alone, 18 batches of Yak-7, etc.

Now, for my personal knowledge, of course, how many Ta-152 been build and used? hehehe...

so far i read Gordon Kazhanov the 9DD had only 1 ShVak as armament!
and they say its fuel load is 845 litres.

thats the amount thta the FB-Game 9D already has (from Oleg , long time ago info) !

G&K amounts are:
9 440 litres
9D 650 litres

the following 2 planes would be very interesting in my point of view:
1. LaGG3-37: with a Sh-37mm gun (20 rounds). for the year 42! it could replace the 1943 LaGG-3 37mm(NS37). for 43 there is already the Yak-9T , isnt it /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

2.the Yak-9B, just interesting from its design idea of a JABO for 1944. neverthelles G&K dont tell good things about that plane /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif interesting should be the FM with 4 FAB-100 bombs /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Well for new Russian fighters I will want (apart from Yak-9DD):

- More versions of early LaGG-3 with different armament, I think that the actual LaGG-3 with two USB for 1941 is a lot

- LaGG-1 if posible.
- Yak-7A
- Yak-3 with cannon armament and not USB
- MiG-1 if posible

Given a chose - nobody is going to fly LaGG-1, LaGG-3's series from 7 to the 66, MiG-1 and Yak-7A - they were horrible. They are not going to be usable in on-line wars either - unless you will persuade LW side to fly at 1:3 numerical disadvantage (to be historically accurate /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif ).

Yak-9B would be interesting and not much work required to have it in the game - exteriors, interiors FM and DM could be easily modified from the existing Yak-9 already in the game.

I want to see Yak-9UT on a late-war servers. One 23mm cannon and two 20mm cannons - would be good change for the people who used to fly only lightly armed Yaks.
This plane did fly and fight over Germany. This will be historically accurate!
And the is almost nothing for Oleg to do - exteriors, interiors FM and DM could be lifted of the existing Yak-9U!

i think the Yak7B in Game is a Yak7 ! like its called in the Database.
an Yak7B wouldnt be a 1941 plane, isnt it ?

the inGame "Yak7B" has the FM of an Yak7 - only the armament is strange, thats realy a Yak7B armament.

does anyone know the LA-7 with a rocket engine ?? that would be cool... its an ordinary LA-7 prop fighter, but it has also a small rocket engine on the tail.... should be fun to fly... dont know if it was a succesful design.

Yak-7A was like the Yak-7B on FM, only that it wasn`t equiped with UBS and the wing tip was more pointed.

I don`t want them for the whinner choice, just to a more variated campaign.

Here are some that I found on my references:

Yak-1M: Powered by M-105PF 1260 hp

Yak-3: the initial series powered by a VK-105PF-2 1300 hp (1944)

Yak-3/VK-107A : Powered by the VK-107A 1700 hp, 100 of them was put operational on 1945

Yak-3T: Armed with 1x 37mm and 2x 20mm

Yak-3P: Armed with 3x 20mm

Yak-3V: Enlarged wingspand for high altitude

Yak-3TK: Powered by VK-107A with turbo compressor, evaluated in 1945

Yak-7A: Powered by a M-105P 1050 hp, pointed wings 10.25m wingspan

Yak-7/M-82: Powered by radial M-82 and armed with 1x UBS and 2x 20mm

Yak-7T: Armed with 1x 37mm or 1x 45mm

Yak-7K: VIP transport

Yak-9: Acording to my references it was able to carry 6x RS-82 or 2x FAB-100

Yak-9M: 2x UBS and 1x 20mm

Yak-9T: Acording to my references it can carry PTAB 2.5kg bombs under wing.

Yak-9B: Bomber version with bomb bay behind cockpit for 4x FAB-100 or 128 PTAB on containers

Yak-9P: Armed with 3x 20mm

Many planes you are listed there are very interesting to have in the game but they are either experimental (Yak-3T, Yak-3V, Yak-3TK, Yak-7/M-82) and you forgot Yak3U with Ash-82FN engine, armed with 2x 20mm cannons here.
Or post-war like Yak-3P and Yak-9P.

Plane you did not mention and it definitely belong to Yak lineup in the game is
YAK-9UT with factory installed interchangeable cannons.
Version which took part in the war was armed with 1x23mm cannon + 2x 20mm cannons, but there were provisions to have 20mm, 23mm, 37mm and 45mm motor-cannon installed.
This plane took part in fighting over Germany with great success!

Built. Over 100 - 150 Ta 152H IIRC

Much less were used though, but that could still be over the level of LaGG 3 IT.
