It would be nice to have one of these switches complete with a tank selector.

Seems to be missing ingame. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/cry.gif

G forces indicator in Speedbar would be nice as well http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/sonar.gif

I might be wrong, but according to rumour Oleg will implement fuel dump to this game once we get a plane which could do that in real life. Ju-88 could, so maybe in few months we will have this feature.

Ok, what about being able to switch fuel tanks? ie if your port wing tank loses fuel due to bullet holes, switch tanks once its dry to another one.
Its my understanding that most planes have wing tanks, and some also have tanks in the body. Yet a fuel leak in the wings drains them all?? Does not sound right, is it?? It would be nice to switch tanks once ones empty or at least have a little more control, auto or manual fuel switching - you even see switchs in the cochpit of some planes, yet they don't seem to work... :-(

Good post. The switching tanks thing would definitely be a plus. I remember reading a passage in "To Fly and Fight" by Bud Anderson about an incident where he forgot to switch tanks to the drop tanks and was going off of his wing tanks... when bogies were spottd and he had to drop his tanks that was when he realized it.. he was worried about getting home. Fortunately he made it. Id like to see as much pilot manipulatable stuff as possible... (D@mn did I just invent a word..? http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif)

Id also like to see the option for manual mix and pitch on all the planes.

IMMERSION BABY!!

As it stands at the moment is fuel weight in each tank modelled rather than the general amount of fuel the plane contains? I.e. if you get a port wing tank leak and it goes dry does the port wing weigh less and the balance of the plane is messed up cause the starboard wing still contains fuel?

It would add some more immersion to the game certainly.

OT: Anyone else seen an F111 do a fuel dump in flight at an airshow or anything? Its quite spectacular to watch. Seems like the RAAF party peice.http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

think it is better if tank switch is AUTO, since in game we cannot se as well as in RL where the hell the leaking is.

If brute force does not solve your problem... you are not using enough!

Fuel control would be a nice feature. Oldman, use F8-Chase view and you can see where the leak is. You just have to get away from the action and acess your damage if you can.

As for the weight difference with fuel, that's what trim compensates for.
