HI, I have found a improvised way to get the Me163 off the ground..

I did this on the multiplayer mountains map

I fired my guns pushing me backwards steering towards the edge of the mountain. as i went over the edge i managed to flip it around so i was facing forward down the hill

Picking up speed it starts to bounce and once it bounces off the ground the engin kicks in.

managed to keep it off the ground for about 20 seconds in a constant stall but eventualy what goes up .. must come down.

PS. It seems to be ground contact the stops the engin from working

WE NEED AIRSTART DOG FIGHT ONLINE MAPS!!!
I flew some jets last night against jets and others.
I tell ya what sun, the La7 and FW dora will kill jets! I lost a couple of DF's with a La!
I was booming and zooming and the bastid tricked me! The dora can catch you if you're not careful!

Hawgdog, I thought you could have DF maps be airstarts online, I know older versions of IL2 you can assume features still there.

Oh and ToxicDrop, some BlitzPigs saw your post and tested this technique out and got it to work, maybe they will post their images and tracks.

Also a thought, ground start a coop mission with 163s in a downward steep slope position, many spots available if you look for them in some maps.

Yes, online DF's and coop's can airstart, rather referring to the lack of servers with airstarts so you can experiment and screw around a little, sometime just playing with various planes is fun..I'm digging the crap jets occaissionally. Too often no time to 'play' the game, too many serious sams out there, eh?
