Just thought of a different way of looking at it and it makes sense if you've ever seen a prop plane take off in the rain. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

I've been wondering for a long time why people were complaining about the "dust" cloud off the runways in the rain - have they never driven behind trucks on the highways in the rain? I think the effect is a really nice touch, almost as cool as the snow prop wash on the winter maps.

Never seen huge dust clouds like these on a dry concrete runway in real life.

the color should change in the rain to make it look like a water spray effect. as it is now, its still brown puffy dust.

I have thought about it. I take off from hard runways every day of my working life./i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

I like the effect as you can tell when it's your turn to takeoff when your queueing on the runway.

True, but, it would also be a minor fix too. However, it would be nice to get other things straightened out, like the P-47 temp guage not working, no manual control of the waste gate, excessive E bleed, lack of top speed on the deck, etc. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif
