Nice site! I like the list of all aircraft that participated in the war. I never knew that the early model He-111s were so ugly [as many aircraft from that period were].

Those early 109's look strangely like Hurricanes.

What do you mean, ugly??? http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif 30's designs rules. Maybe not in aerodynamics though http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I knew that site yet. It's fantastic.

BTW, early He 111s (nicknamed "Pedro" in Spain)and Do 17s ("Bacalao") were ugly, but they were almost imposible to hunt by the fighters of their time. Unlike their more pretty looking glazed-nose inheritants. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Looking down that Aircraft That Took Part page, the most stunning to see is this jet rocket...er...Do~17...well it looks like a rocket...Gibbage Do Something http://www.sf-fandom.com/vbulletin/images/smilies/smilie_help.gif

btw...that first pic I posted above, what caught me by surprise is that the tree over the 109 looks like the small but leafy-rich Pure Grafix trees in the FB open landscape (the ones you can pass through, not the trees in the towns that you collide with and that trap ground vehicles). Seem about the right size trees too.

I admit that some 30's aircraft were nice, but certainly not those 111's.
