Ubisoft® announced that Assassin’s Creed® Chronicles: China will be available Tuesday, April 21, in the UK for download on Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft and Windows PC, and on Wednesday, April 22, on PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system.

In 16th-century China the recently appointed Jiajing Emperor instigated a sudden and ruthless purge of all he felt were a danger to his newly acquired throne, including the Chinese Brotherhood of Assassins. A young Assassin, Shao Jun, fled to the West to complete her training under the legendary Assassin Ezio Auditore in the animated short Assassin’s Creed: Embers and has returned, determined to restore the Chinese Brotherhood of Assassins.

In Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China, players pick up Shao Jun’s story as she returns to China hell-bent on revenge. Her story will take players across China, to famous locations including the Maijishan Grottoes, Port of Macau, The Forbidden City and The Great Wall. Armed with stealth, agility, and a combination of deadly weapons and equipment including a sharp and swift jian, a secret shoe blade and lethal rope darts and daggers, players will deliver payback to those who decimated the Chinese Brotherhood of Assassins.

Developed by Climax Studios in collaboration with Ubisoft Montreal, Assassin’s Creed Chronicles brings the thrill of being a Master Assassin to 2.5D. Brought to life by fusing the essence of Chinese 16th-century traditional brush strokes with more contemporary impressionistic styles, Shao Jun’s adventure will immerse players in a living painting as they traverse undetected across China’s historical landmarks.

Assassin’s Creed® Chronicles: China will be followed by Assassin’s Creed® Chronicles: India and Assassin’s Creed® Chronicles: Russia, which will release separately and take players through the 19th-century Indian Sikh Empire and then through Russia, following the Red October Revolution.

How exactly will Season Pass owners get it? will it be a seperate game in their library? And do they still need to have AC Unity installed?

I got Unity on Steam and Chronicles showed up a few days ago as a separate game. I can't install it yet though (US East Coast).

Hi AntiChrist7,

• PC-Uplay: Anyone who owns the ACU Season Pass will find ACC China in their library upon release.
• PC-Steam: The game will appear in your Steam library and you will be able to download the game. It should not require a code to activate in Uplay as it should be added automatically if you have activated your Unity Season Pass code in Uplay.

I had the season pass, but it got deactivated during the whole stolen keys thing. But it got reactivated again after that, cause I have all the dlc (and never bought any seperatly)

Well, it's 4/21, 11 am Eastern, and its not listed in my uPlay games list. Maybe 4/21 meant some other time other than midnight?

Very odd, I have two AC:China listed in uplay. One that got added when I started via steam, that required a key. And one that requires me to install.

The one that doesn't require activation fails to install, and the steam one.. well, it requires an activation key apparently.. which steam does not provide.. since it was never supposed to require one.

If the game wasn't supposed to release outside of the US until the 22nd.. you should just own up on your own funkup (yes, the game released for the ENTIRE WORLD on steam today, intentionally or due to a mistake) and fix so that we can play it already.

Edit: Seems installing on the ssd (which is my main drive) wouldn't work despite having 66gb free. Changing install directory to my 2TB hdd worked.

Edit 2: Well, steam finally added the key, so I could activate the steam version of the game. So, now I have two copies? One steam free and one that requires steam. Lol!

I'm downloading the game now. Appeared in my uPlay. I really wish they'd provide a better method of showing what's going on. If a game is to be released, provide a placeholder. Indicate date and time of readiness to play, that sort of thing. Only by coming to this forum did I know much about how to get it, and only that because of the Community Manager's notice.

Why can not I use XBOX ONE controller to China,
My driver has been installed, other games are not the problem.

With the exception of China, I still can not use the XBOX ONE controller for the game.
