It's the story of "Ace in a day" Oscar Perdomo, who in the final hours of WWII went on a rampage in his Jug that left 4 Ki-84s and a "Willow" trainer in pieces of flaming wreckage over Japanese-held Korea.

He was the last ace of WWII, and I believe the only Hispanic-American ace of the war. Truly a man among men.

Impressive story indeed! The P-47N certainly was capable of combat at even the low altitudes of 2000 meters and less.

Its interesting that they were ID'd as Oscars and turned out to be Frank's. Apparently that happened alot on this front...everything was ID'd as an Oscar or a Zero unless proven otherwise.
