So here am I playing the German Stalingrad campaign, we have a real ace in the squadron, 37 kills, knight's cross and everything. So, as we take off from the field, which is more than 50 kms behind the frontlines, we're bounced by a pair of Yaks http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_mad.gif. Now, how did those yaks slipped unnoticed? How come we never manage to do something like that? and why do they attack the best pilot from my squad? No5, pride of the Staffel, explodes. ok, I manage to shoot the leading Yak http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif, my wingie blows off the tailfeathers of the second. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/smileys-gun2.gif

1 month later, I have a new guy I can rely on. Hptmn. Klett averages 1.6 missions for a kill, has 47 ticks on his tail. He gets a promotion to major. Then, he goes on flying only ground attack missions, with a happy 1 kill per mission http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/51.gif. his fellow is a Lt. colonel with 87 missions and 19 ground kills, air==0. And that is the guy who`s suposed to run the squad if I get the wooden cross? http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/crazy.gif
on a sidenote, Drexler and Kirschner, both 20+ kills aces collide in mid air during a cruise at 3500, loose formation. Are you sure combat stress is not modelled for German AI http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/mockface.gif?

Last but not least, on the 21 of November we have captured THE WHOLE Stalingrad, most of the islands in the delta and on the north we have crossed the river and we're pushing the russians. All they have now is a 40 km wide strip, the river being the southern border, the front is the northern one. my Staffel has operated from our new field east of the river for 5 days diminishing the VVS with 29 aircraft.

On the 22, we are pushed west of the Volga, The russians have recaptured most of Stalingrad. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gif Yeah, and Superman and Batman were noticed flying air cover, red stars on their cloaks http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/mockface.gif

Now, how is this possible? http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/blink.gif http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/blink.gif

O, how I want to hold you,
To feel your breath
And hear your laughter in my ears.
To look into your eyes
And see myself in there.
Caress you with my lips.
To hold your hands in mine
And find the hidden smile in your dimple
That makes you irresistible
And stops the breathing in my chest.
To be with you when you are weeping,
To wipe away the tears and take away the sorrow.
To watch you while you are sleeping
Like there is no tomorrow.

And with a tender kiss to wake you up.

I believe the DCG allows for slight fluctuation of the timeline, but end the end the historical result will always be the same

Negative. DGen, written by Starshoy and included in the game is what you are thinking of. The third party DCG, written by Lowengrin has where your actions may have an effect on the outcome...though not right away in a couple of missions type fashion. It's more dynamic than DGen.

Both engines I find better than the static campaigns...
