Could we have proper support for 1280 x 1024 resolution which is native for many flat screen displays, I know that the resolution can be set in the ini file and this works ok most of the time but some effects such as cloud mist leave a 10mm gap at the bottom and top of the screen.

Doesn't that sound really whiney! /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Aww... come on Fbuster! you know you can make your quite reasonable request sound alot more whiney than that! /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

No RealKill - he means flat screen like in "after a car drove over it"...

---

Well, honestly I cannot understand why manufacturer even came up with that resolution - 1280x960 would be the logical, integer multiplication... well, myself I am playing with the thought of getting a 19" TFT so 1280x1024 would be really, really appreciated!

Yes, TFT - LCD - non CRT.

i play in 1600x1024 and if you leave the 4:3 path u will see some errors (placement of the inflight map and hudmessages, the bad weather texture that is just displayed out of the cockpit for bad visibility effect, etc)

the odd thing: in original il2 all is working normal like it would be 4:3 (1280x960 is 4:3 if u dont have a clue what it means , its the aspect ratio /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif )

I would like 1280 x 1024 resolution as well. Would be much nicer for us 17inch TFT/LCD users and make the game more stunning.

1.21 is looking good though in perfect mode.

I'm having the same problem. I'd really like to see 1280*1024 supported. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif

Get yourselves a good old CRT! Cheaper, better, more flexible, no lag. Only downside is heat and size.

Golf GTI Edition 2.0 16v

Once you've used a GOOD Flat Screen for a while you realise just how crap those CRT's really are, I've never seen so much detail, every rivet is clearly defined - sorts out the good skins from the mediocre. Gwaan don't fight it, get one, you know you want to.

you can easily adjust the 1280x1024 res in the config.ini file.
ONLY negative is a black bar at top and botton during the LOADING process, means startup window.
then, all looks fin with NO problems.

will post settings when at home
