Look on the 2nd page, there are 2 threads with Fishdog message.

Probably bugs from betas are being addressed.Even the first week of August isn`t a firm date.

A whole bunch of bugs were reported by people using the leaked beta patches. Soon after that the official release date got moved by a week. Coincidence? I don't think so.

For God's sake, they're trying to fix this thing and make it as bug-free as possible. Isn't that worth waiting another week or so? Do you WANT to go through what we did with Il-2 - patches on patches, everywhere a patch patch, till it drove you crazy trying to keep track? I sure as hell don't.

I've got Beta 8 and I'm enjoying using it but it's got several things that need fixing and if it takes them an extra week to fix them then I'm not going to kvetch about it.

If you think I'm full of it, go get yourself a copy of Beta 8 (it's not hard to find sources; try the SimHQ threads) and see for yourself. You'll sit there saying alternately, "Hey, they fixed that, this is great!" and "Damn, I hope they fix that in the final patch!"

Or if you don't think it needs any further work, then just use the beta as is and you won't NEED the final patch.

I'm no admirer of Ubi and no big fan of Maddox either, but in this case I'm on their side; the delays are because they're trying to do the job right and I wish everybody would quit bashing on about this.

Yeah, calm down and have a little more patience. Ill guarantee the whining will be fierce if they release it early rather than fix the bugs. Its all for a good reason, just a few days more /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Ah cripes. Fix the bloody game and take the time required to do so. I'm sure then it'll be just perfect... NOT.

Luckily Catrix is a real model community manager, managing expectations, helping us understand what mayhem is happening at UBI, and making us feel all warm & fuzzy.

Kudos for Fishdogg for being righteous enough to come and tell us what's up.

In the end though, I'd really rather a beta were made available so I wouldn't have to change all my server maps just to [temporarily] compensate for the oversights that made it past the *cough* perfectionist team at UBI when they allowed the original release to hit the shelves.

Luckily FS2004 will be out next week. I DO plan to buy it and I plan to enjoy it while FB ferments in its own waste.

Maybe one day each and every line of code in FB will be optimized... Maybe not.

I just rather have smaller patches every couple a months that fix certain important bugs netcode issues then waiting over 8 months for a so called perfect patch which will still have problems knowing ubi product quality from ofp's ghostrecon il2 sturmo n fb is all Im trying to say.

I keep reading all these posts about beta 08, how the ratas are still the same and take insane damage. P47 being worse then it is now by skychimp, the hurricane stalling before 190s f2 and f4 guns are still useless, il2s n tb3s floating ability still there. High alt still looks the same, game still freezes up, netcode seems the same etc.

But have no fear >>> soon we will be able to fly that Stalingrad "legend" the Zero /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif

Seriously, everybody and his dog has the Beta 08 patch .. and obviously much still is not right. So between now and July 30th errr ... sorry ... August 04th ... Beta 09 will yield a host of others.

The game will never be cured of all it's problems so why try and fix them all now. Release the version as is ... then at least we can whine about the next version patch /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Obviously they delay it bacause it won't be ready. What do you want that they release a half finished patch on the right date?

This is what UBI does. All UBI published games are delayed as well as patches. Even though I get as frustrated as most with being told one thing one day just to be told another the next, I should be used to it by now for I own numerours UBI published games. Now having said that I will say this...Unlike other publishers who twist the arms of the developers to get there games out on the predetermined deadline, which is set by the publisher. UBI doesnt appear to do this. Which is probably why if you look at all the reviews given to UBI published games in PC Gamer they score 80% and above. I cant remember if I ever seen a UBI game score less then 80%. This says an awful lot to me. I trust the reviews I read in PC Gamer and have never been let down yet.

So even though I whine like everyone I guess its better then buying a game just to take it back to EB for instore credit why all the while kicking yourself in the butt for buying it in the first place.
