Kinda tough to advise you without knowing what bios/motherboard you have.

Download the shareware version of Sandra here:
http://www.sisoftware.net/

This program should give you the make and model of your motherboard. Go to your mobo's website and look for the manual for that board.

some motherboards (like mine--Gigabyte GA-8S661FXM)) have a GFX card auto-detect...meaning if I put in a video card, it automatically disables my onboard VGA. After that, I just have to disable it in Windows...which usually means i have to take out my video card just so i can go to windows and see when i try to disable the other one http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif

Well, if you can get to your desktop, to disable onboard VGA, right-click on MY COMPUTER, go to PROPERTIES, then click on the HARDWARE tab, click on DEVICE MANAGER. Click on DISPLAY ADAPTERS, right-click your onboard video and click on DISABLE.
