Well this gives us a small insight into a few of the characters who might be making an appearance. A screenshot from the game's Animus Database. Aside from Ezio and Shao Jun, I don't know any of them though. But my knowledge on 16th century China is practically non-existent.

Apparently Chronicles Russia will have orelov protecting Anastasia as they escape the tsar's prison. Escort mission. Nobody important got assassinated at the time.

The India story is an adaptation of Brahman so no assassinations

I wonder who that Dogs person is.

I'm excited for Macau for biased patriotic reasons, Macau should look nothing like that though, gigantic Chinese castles in a time when Macau should be a small fishing village.

I speculate each Chronicle will need 2-3 patches to work prperly . So ditch them quick UBI & gives a full game in China/Japan with real martial arts CQC combat . Its what an Assassin should be capable of . Everyone knows this.

Will the last two have the same plot of the comics ? how they adapt something from a diferent medium to a game ?

India is set two years after the comic, and Russia is set between the two comics.

That won't be in Chronicles Russia, that scene takes place in 1908, ten years before the events of the game.

Yeah sure. Nikolai is one of my favorite characters actually and I love reading about his story because the books are purely story about him, no gameplay to worry about.

*pulls out Subject 4*

So, important stuff.

At the beginning of the books, Nikolai is having these bad dreams because his friend Alek pointed a finger at him while he was being executed because Nikolai didn't save him. This stops after a while though.

Nikolai is sent to assassinate the current Tsar of Russia in 1888, but ultimately fails. Nikolai sees the Staff of Eden for the first time here, and doesn't know how to wield it when the Tsar gives it to him. The Tsar wins in the fight, but spares Nikolai.

Nikolai's first child is lost sometime afterward, increasing his rage greatly.

In 1908 Nikolai is given the assignment to acquire the Staff of Eden which is housed in the Tunguska research facility. Nikolai touches the staff, and is contacted by the first civ (these visions he is given contain knowledge the Assassins want). Tesla activates his teleforce weapon in America which destroys the facility, killing all but Orelov. He's under the impression the Staff was destroyed.

1917, Vladamir Lenin tasks Nikolai with assassinating the old Tsar's son, who is now the new Tsar. Nikolai has intel that the Tsar may have the Staff, but he quickly concludes it is a fake, and destroys the copy. He spares the Tsar's life.

The book skips ahead at this point, but basically Nikolai tracks down a man, Rasputin, who has the only shard of the Staff, digs up his grave, and takes the shard. Nikolai moves onto America at this point with his wife and daughter to escape the turmoil of Russia and the Assassins BUT we have Chronicles.

It says that Nikolai takes one last assignment or something, and tries to save princess Anastasia from Bolsheviks but ultimately fails, I guess, because she dies. =p

Nikolai has a son with his wife, Anna, and they live happily for a while. Unfortunately for them they are a victim of the Palmer raids of 1919 and Anna and Nadya are shipped to Finland. Nikolai thinks they are dead. Nikolai then moves into the woods of Connecticut with his son Innokenti as they are wanted by the assassins. In 1926, an assassin finds Nikolai and tries to make him go back to the Mentor and tell about the vision he saw, but he kills the man. He knows more will come.

For the next two years Nikolai cruelly trains Innokenti so that he will be able to take on the Assassins. Once Innokenti is able to hold a knife to Nikolai's throat he knows he is ready. They leave their cabin, rig it with explosives, and set out for the woods. The Assassins come and they manage to kill them all except one. He has Nikolai taken captive, and tries to get Innokenti to come quietly. Nikolai tells Innokenti to "Be strong." which he realizes means for him to shoot through Nikolai, to the assassin. He does this because he realizes the Assassins will never stop hunting for them as long as Nikolai has the memory of the vision. Innokenti takes his father's hidden blade and walks into the wilderness. The end.

Does that help? :)

So is this thread also for speculating possible settings for future Chronicles games, or just for these 3?

Yeah, I'd like to know as well. I say we go for it, as long as it is realistic. ;)

why wouldnt nikolai just tell the assassins the vision?

GoldenBoy9999
04-02-2015, 03:21 AM
Lol, good question. "After this last mission, Nikolai chose to retire and abruptly cut his ties with the Assassin Order."

This is referring to the Chronicles mission. Nikolai is still friendly with the assassins until this final mission, so I have to assume this triggers his bad relations. Maybe it has something to do with the Assassins getting Anastasia killed, idk. I guess you'll have to wait and play the game to find out. ;)

can someone summarize the story of nikolai for me

Orelov is an incompetent assassin who blunders nearly every big assignment he gets. He bungles the tsar's assassination and then he is the only survivor of the Tunguska explosion where he had some first civ visions. Then he recovers a tiny piece of eden. Keeps it for personal use and doesn't give the assassins so much as a two weeks notice before heading to america. He later raises his son in the best William miles tradition and gets killed for no reason.

Why they chose this dead fish as a Russian game is beyond me

All three Chronicles revolve around securing an artifact alongside personal goals. Anyone else expecting all three to be Ezio's box? Shao's target in a gameplay video said someone was coming for it, so we know it's important in her Chronicle at least. Maybe this will be what ties the three stories together.

is possible that the box shows the location of temples in general not only the earthquake ones,is possible that aquilles read some notes left by ezio and is because of it that he is so secure that will find a apple in one of them, whem you play rogue again note the draws in the walls of aquilles house in the part you have to steal the manuscript.

a little prediction, shao jun will find a way to turn the box on,the map will point to the temple we will have to invade in india, the templars or the assassins will recover the artfact that will be the thing they is after in russia.

They never toppled the company though, they just tried and ultimately got done in by their inherent disunity. I don't mind killing my virtual compadres anyway. :p 'twould be good, right Ze?

No way of knowing that now, but I think not, they are separate stories I think.

But read the comics in any case if you want

Not in the way they would have wanted or desired.

Either way, these sepoys were pretty much seen as people who sold out their souls for a few quick coins by the native people back then. So it is not surprising that we, controlling a native hero, might have to kill a few of those.

Ubiblog says that india art style is based on british journalism of 19 century, russia some sort of comunist propaganda, this lead me to think :

if the plot of the game is fabricated by abstergo like Liberation, and not the true thing ? the true ending that will unlock after you play all in order will show the true thing .

curious is how AC rogue is like a big foreshadow to this game...
