My father inlaw is 75 and enjoys FB.
I have tried to lure him online several times, explaining that most of the crowd are grownups and many around 30-40, aswell as a reasonable ammount above 50.
Usually he just eyeballs me for a while, and sneeses; "I dont fly with kids!"

He,he........ I thought that was pretty funny http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Even if majority of the online crowd are grownups from 30-50 your father in-law is still right. If you fly on any public server (like GreaterGreen and others) you'll notice that these "grownups" are still for the most part a bunch of kill stealing morons with no honor at all. Crashing into bombers intentionally or doing some other stupid **** to ruin others game experience. I'm close to never playing this game online in public servers ever again due to the enormous amount of idiots that roam the sky freely.

He he.......U are a hardhead Dreyer,I like that.
Harsh words....some true even.
Perhaps U will get a smile out of my first try on a whine post on "fair Play" on DF servers in general? I admit I still need some practise....but still.

He should say "I dont fly with grandkids either!" considering I'm 16..

I am also 16, but I also agree with not flying online. Age has little meaning, but most people online have very immature attitudes. The cheating, whining and general bad attitude of the online community has limited me to flying against the AI until I can find some group that is resonably serious and will get around the age bias. Public servers offer only unstructured dogfights and I feel that it is simply a waste of time to fly there.

Combat Flight Simmers are "predisposed" to argumentation & Confrontation due to one & all trying to be Top Dogg in the dogfight

ego goes hand in hand with believeing you are the best player on the server

not true at all for all . . .. . but true for many of these "fully growen , mature " adults that enjoy playing FB

flying solo online in furball dogfight servers you do get a lot of the childish "3D counterstrike" mentality

flying co-ops as part of a squadron online on the other hand is a totally different experience

During the Battle of Britian, Hermann Goering asked Adolf Galland "What do you need to defeat the British?" to which Galland Replied "A Squadron of Spitfires"

13 years old and into flight sims - wow. I'm 37 and the only thing I remember about being 13 was getting excited about getting the ability to throw a curve ball, doing a wheelie on my home made spider bike, and going to the teen dance with Nikki while the Bee Gees played 'How Deep is Your Love'. Times they are changin'.

Most adults in games are morons.

Most people period are dominated by ignorance and stupidity.
